ICv2.com broke a story earlier this week that Konami was showing off more 2014 Yu-Gi-Oh! releases at the GAMA Trade Show – a show at which retailers, distributors and publishers gather to show off new products and talk shop; and Konami Vice President Card Business Yumi Hoashi shared details about some of the upcoming products.
The Primal Origin booster pack will release in May, and the Primal Origin: Deluxe Edition box will follow on June 13th. The set will include nine Primal Origin boosters, plus two foil versions of common and/or rare cards, plus a pack of sleeves, a Beginner’s Guide and one of two foil versions of preview cards from the upcoming August booster set. The two storage boxes were on display at the show. “One will feature the Bujin deck, which is currently a very popular deck in the tournament scene. The other one is the Gladiator Beasts, which has been a staple since the GX era,” said Hoashi.
Also on display was the new Realm of Light Structure Deck. “It is based on the ‘Lightsworn’ theme. ‘Lightsworns’ were first introduced in the GX era, and ‘Lightsworns’ have always been fan favorites as tournament decks. Because it was released in the GX era, ‘Lightsworns’ have never had a Synchro monster, but there is a new Synchro monster, plus the two new Tuner monsters you need to summon it, in this deck,” Hoashi shared. The deck will have 41 cards, and will release June 27.
A new Starter Deck will release on July 11, which will introduce the Pendulum Monsters and Pendulum Summons. The new gameplay mechanic will add two new zones to the game field. Deck title and other information are not yet availible.
July 25 will bring the new Battle Pack 3. The release is designed specifically for booster draft play, so duelists can build new decks directly from the packs. Details on how it differs from previous Battle Pack releases have yet to be revealed.

Konami plans to release two new boosters for the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG this spring: Yu-Gi-Oh! Premium Gold will release on March 28, and Yu-Gi-Oh! Dragons of Legend will release on April 25th, according to ICv2.com.
The Premium Gold booster takes the best cards from the past Gold Series sets and adds new cards to the mix, as well as introducing the new “Gold Secret” card rarity.
“Gold Rare” cards, which “enshrine” the cards in a gold color (gold card frames, gold art boxes frames, gold text box frames, card names and even gold level stars for Monster cards), have been available in a number of hobby exclusive Gold products in the past. The new “Gold Secrets” cards include all those upgrades and add a Secret Rare Card’s textured foil pattern on top of it. Each 5-card “Premium Gold” mini-pack contains two “Gold Secrets” (either a brand new card, or one of the Legendary Gold Cards from the original Yu-Gi-Oh! series). Each mini-pack also contains three standard “Gold Rares” (one card a never-before released Gold Rare, plus two past “Gold Series” cards).
Each Premium Gold box contains three mini-packs (for a total of 15 cards: six “Gold Secrets” and nine “Gold Rares”).
The final name and release date are still tentative, but Konami has also posted information on the Dragons of Legend booster, which it plans to release in April.
Dragons of Legend will include dozens of the most popular and fan-requested cards that have been used by duelists on the shows (including the original Yu-Gi-Oh! TV series, Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s, and Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal) — all in print for the first time ever. The 5-card packs will contain one “Secret Rare” and four “Super Rare” cards.
The Premium Gold booster will follow the Cyber Dragon Revolution Structure Deck and the Star Pack 2 which release in February.

Check out this special sneak-peek first published by ICv2.com of the Yu-Gi-Oh! HeroClix: Series One 24 Ct. Gravity Feed, releasing February 5th. Series One will feature 55 figures with the following rarity scheme: 16 Common figures, 15 Uncommon figures, 12 Rare figures, 9 Super-Rare figures, and 3 Chase figures.
The Asura Priest (pictured left & below) begins play with its Multiple Arms special power which allows it to make up to four separate close combat attacks in one turn! Of course, when you have so many arms it’s much easier to attack enemies all around you than to concentrate on just one foe, so Multiple Arms has a special condition that no more than two attacks can target the same character.
Early-dial, the Asura Priest also enjoys the benefits of Willpower, which allows it to act two turns in a row with no fear of pushing damage, and Battle Fury. While Battle Fury prevents another friendly character from carrying the Asura Priest into battle, it does allow the Asura Priest to ignore Mind Control and Incapacitate attacks, as well as Shape Change when it makes attacks of its own!
