I wont be able to make it tomorrow, an old college teammate is coming to visit and wants to go to our alma maters bball game, and i feel obliged to go with him.

I did get my 500pts painted and ready, ill post a pic when i figure out how.  Good luck to everyone, I hope its a fun day, and I cant wait till next month and 1000pts.

That's a shame, though I do not blame you at all. Looking forward to the pics.  Speaking of which I should bring a camera tomorrow hmm...

Cheers,
Alan

Saturday went well,
it's amazing how much fun 500 points can be! I learned a few things during the course of the day and had fun doing it.

For next month the Target is 1000 points. And painted or not getting your troops ready will be worthwhile for all.

We'll any who want to 500 point games can be played until the next meeting (or whatever :).

So what works for the next meeting? which Saturday will give us the most opponents.

Also any ideas for scenarios, whether out of the the big red book or just made up, whatever works just post them here.

Cheers,
Alan

Hey Guys,
I know a few of us have discussed the next meet. Right now it looks like Saturday Feb27th is best. Well away from V-day. And it gives the guys waiting on the Beastmen time to digest.

Shoot for 2pm with 1,000 points.

Cheers,
Alan

here are the pics of my first 500 pts of tomb kings.  the only thing that isnt in the pics is my Heroes.  My next 500 is coming along.

the only thing worse then my painting skills are my camera skills, so sorry about the quality and lighting

im going for a dull color scheme, I want them to look like they just climbed from the ground.  I used mud washes and kept a dark color scheme for the rank and file ( I also want them kept simple so I can use them for a future Vampire Counts army, so most of my troops will be more "Barrow Kings" so I can have a lot of swapping back and forth).    the Tomb scorp I think I am going to drybrush bleached bone, so that may change.

ok i tried posting the pics,  i have no idea  how i am supposed to do that or where i went wrong so you'll just have to trust me that they are painted  :)

I like to use http://picturepush.com/

There's an option to upload pics without an account, which I like.  They also give you easy to use option to stick the pics right into message boards like this.  I think it's the second option down... the one with the [img] tag in it.

Just checking in here,
I know I've spoken to a few people but who will be around on Saturday, as planned we're going to play at 1,000 points.  As expected, most of us haven't finished painting but what the hell :)

Start around 2 or 3?

Cheers,
Alan

Hey Guys,
Saturday is a no go for me this week I'm afraid. I've promised to bring Sean to the store for some 40k on Sunday. So Saturday will be working on what I blew off last week for the MB.

If you guys have at it. I think we've all agreed that being painted is optional at this point :)

Cheers,
Alan

Okay,
April quickly went to hell in a hand basket. Now the big question. Do we keep going or put this on hold. Summer is coming and bringing with it a nice new rule book.

Thoughts?

Cheers,
Alan
