I certainly hope so.  Between the game that never was, the random game night, and the 3.5 night, I'm not sure what was going on in the campaign anymore.

...we were on a boat (or ship, whatever) and we were chasing after Eric Blacktree, who returned to life after being decapitated (Ninja Scroll style) and there was time pressure because of some kind of ritual, or something... on some island (hence the boat).

There was also something about the capital 'P' Prophecy that we were involved in, but I never understood that part.  Though to be fair, my character wouldn't have understood it either so I don't hold it against me.

I would never suicide a character just to make a new one; I have my pride you know!   ;)

Besides, in Josh's campaigns my character has the highest survivabilty rate.  My wizard hid from the potato lich for a looooong time after the rest of you shuffled off their mortal coil.

However, if my melee-based meat shield should happen to meet his maker (which has been known to happen to various characters...  :o) then I would make the monk next.  I just like the idea of someone who can beat a master wizard/fully armored knight/giant monster with their bare hands.

That gives me an idea... maybe my monk should fight naked.  As some kind of vow or something.  That would definitely make the game more interesting, especially depending on what gender I play.

Anyhoo, I'm hoping I won't have to worry about that any time soon.  (And by this point maybe some of you are hoping you won't have to either.  All the more reason to watch my back, I suppose).

We're playing tonight, yes.  I can foresee nothing which would stop this from happening.

Rick seems to have a hangup with nakedness.

I just like that scene from Monty Python's Meaning of Life about the guy who could choose the way he wanted to die.

...classic.

'tactical squad'?

I assume we're playing, since I haven't heard otherwise.

Hey, for everyone who shows up early I want to get some Paranoia going.  The learning curve for people who don't understand how the game works is... amusing (especially for the person running it:me).

If you're interested, just show up.  Don't bother reading any rules, since displaying rules knowledge beyond your clearance level, even out of game, is treason!  Then again, asking questions about the game may also be treason, depending on the subject...   You want a list of treasonous subjects?  What was your clearance level again, citizen?   MWA-HA-HA!!!   :P

ok, i should be there around 7.  as for tactical squad, i have finally been assimilated into the vast army of people at bg who play 40k, and made a "minor mistake" in army building, which left me with one model who could score objectives so i gotta buy the squad so i can attempt to win games.

ill be willing to play any game, even ones where i waste 10 pages of paper, 3.5 hours, and all self respect i had on ;D

If I recall correctly, there are 3 parts to the character sheet.

-The stuff that you and the other players know about your character
-The stuff that only you (hopefully) know about your character, but the other players do not
-The stuff that only the GM knows about your character, and even you are unaware

The book comes with some sample pre-gen characters, so it would probably be easiest to start there.

As for 40k, it's just something i never see myself getting into:

#1 You have to think too hard and too far ahead
#2 You need to use basic math and geometry (see #1)
#3-40K  It costs lots of $$$$ (and time, but mostly the $$$$).

Good luck though.  At least if one of your 40k characters dies, you're already all set for immediate vengeance.
