Battleground Games & Hobbies - Abington MAPull up a chair and get together with friends old and new to play Hearthstone at Battleground's first ever Hearthstone Fireside Gathering!
This event is for players of all ages and ability levels and will require absolutely no knowledge or minimum skill level. We're looking to attract local (or non-local) players interested in learning, chatting, laughing, and playing some Hearthstone. The more the merrier! We will have open, casual play all day and a Hearthstone "Conquest" (details
here and below) format tournament for those interested. All players that attend and participate will be offered the opportunity to add the new
“Fireside Friends” card back to their collection!
In addition to the Fireside Friends card back, we are also working with Blizzard in an effort to bring a Hearthstone Prize Kit to the event. The progress on the kit will be updated at a later time.

Battleground's Facebook PageHelpful Hints:• Snacks and refreshments will be available for purchase at the event.
• Participants are expected to bring their own laptop, iPad, or tablet.
• Whereas we do not expect there to be any major issues related to available outlets, please make sure your devices are fully charged.
• Participants will connect to our network via wifi. Ethernet cables will not be required.
• You will be able to play opponents from any of the available play areas.
• We will be taking pictures and potentially recording / steaming the event. You will be able to exclude yourself from any / all of this.
• Cosplayers / costumes are encouraged.
TOURNAMENT RULESConquest Format (the 2015 World Championship Match Format)

• Swiss pairings. All players will be able to participate in each round if they chose to.
• Each round will be best-of-5. The first player to win 3 games within the match is considered the winner of the match.
• Each player must choose
three unique classes prior to the event. We
will NOT be collecting decklists from players, however.
• A player must win one game with each of his three decks to win the match.
• When a player wins a game, the deck used by the winning player cannot be used for the remainder of the round.
• The losing player can keep the same deck used or switch to a different one of their choice.
• No bans.
