Mixing plastic and metal parts
« on: August 31, 2009, 05:50:11 PM »
Question on mini assembly....

Would it be a bad idea to use metal parts with plastic parts?  I'm trying to outfit some of my marines with certain weapons, but when I look around for the bitz, a lot of the weapons I find are in fact metal.  All of my mini's are plastic based, and I wanted to know if anyone has any experience with putting the two different types of materials together.

Thanks!
~Ben

Generally speaking, mixing the parts is fine.  Some of the models even come with metal AND plastic parts.

I'll let someone with more experience give a more insightful answer.

Also, putty.  It's real nice since Plastic - Metal is one of the hardest things to keep on.
It's the throwing phase now.
