More S&V Cards leaked - Two new Cannons and an M3-A Pilot

This gives all new options to cannons, and I like these. Flechette holds a special place in my stress-giving heart. I could see the Mangler replacing the HLC in some builds, especially on an Outrider-equipped YT-2400 (no more minimum range to worry about!)

The new pilot is interesting. Could get incredibly frustrating to deal with, especially for TIE/Z-95-swarms.

I am unsure of how I feel about the Flechette Cannon, it could be very strong in the right build. Right now I think you are giving up an awful lot to dish out a stress, and there are already a lot of ways to do that without the sacrifice of damage. If a ship already has a stress this card gets a lot less attractive. At 2 points you can do worse, but I think there are better options for both the Cannon slot and for dealing stress.

The Mangler looks solid, and as has already been stated, looks to be an obvious choice for a thrifty Outrider.

The M3-A Interceptor is neat, and it is certainly affordable, but at 18 points it is competing with the excellent Z-95 choices for a slot in S&V lists. This looks to be a similar competition to what the Rebels have with A-Wings and Z's. The A-Wings have fit into a completely different role, and I think that S&V brings a lot to the table to make the Z-95 more attractive, such as the Illicit Upgrade availability on the base Z-95. I am hoping that we see some of the other pilots soon.

The flechette cannon will entirely depend on the build. And on something like the M3-A, which only has 2 attack dice anyways, you're not super likely to be getting more than one damage on most ships, so might as well aim for the stress as well. 2 points for stress, no boost to evade at range 3, and a better chance at that one hit you're likely to be getting, isn't bad, even if you're missing out on a possible second hit or crit. Definitely will be better in lists built around capitalizing on stress though. Eaden Vrill is going to love it.


Found another Pilot, not sure if it had been up before or not though. Should combo great with Laetin.

Eaden Vrill will only like it if other, higher ps ships on his side have it, because it won't help (equipped on him) unless they don't clear the stress by the next round, which does help with control, but won't usually end up with extra dice for Eaden. (though i guess Eaden would be a good MOTIVATOR to clear stress instead of being less predictable. More of a psychological game than anything.)
