Orks
Still have the Mob and Furious Charge rules
Orks now have 6+ FNP
Each unit now has Waaagh! points
Waaagh! charge now per unit, not per army.
Sluggas generate 1 Waaagh! point for each turn in combat
Shootas generate 1 point for each unit kill with shooting
Waaagh points also generated from every 3 units of 10+ models (unsure of this one)
Mega Armour now has Deepstrike rule

Boyz
Unit gets 2pts cheaper and weapons are now upgrades.
Choppas are AP6. +1str AP4 on charge. Cost 1pt each
Shootas cost 2pts each
Big Choppas now +2str AP4. AP3 on charge

Flash Gitz
Weapons now have random range instead of random AP
New range is 12 + 3D6”. Triple 1 on range causes Overheat
Weapon upgrade options include +1Bs, +1 Attack, Blast, Skyfire

Weirdboyz
Now have a warp powers table; either Divination, Gork or Mork
Use Waaagh! points for powers
Waaagh points also contribute to Weirdboy’s death. When he dies, casts "Eadbanga" on himself. More points means bigger and more powerful explosions

Bomb squigs now can be taken as units
Includes more options. Can have upgrades for more powerful explosions or melta

Due to Waaagh! changes, Ghaz has 3 Waaaghs! Not sure if armywide or distributed to units
Killa Kanz to Elites – may require Grot boss

The test codex rules are always, ALWAYS way cooler than the actual codex.  It's really unfortunate.

I have high hopes for Orks though.

I really hope the deep striking meganobz thing is true. And that there's a way to unlock them as troops. Then I can have a proper Deff Wing army.
Should the miserable Grot crews survive for long they will soon become deafened and have to resort to a rudimentary system of sign language. This is rarely successful as there are only so many signs a Grot can carry around with him.

That sounds like an interesting mechanic. I was kind of hoping they'd get something like the old Black Templar's Rightous Zeal rule where every time you shoot them they run at the nearest enemy. Here's hoping there's a meganob plastic kit.

Shootas cost 2pts each
Big Choppas now +2str AP4. AP3 on charge

This seem pretty good assuming boyz still get their 2 attacks base plus pistol and close combat weapon standard. I hope with shootas when you take them it doesn't replace the pistol and close combat weapon like it currently does. That would certainly make trukk boyz more viable.

Lootas
Deffguns are now options
Unit is now cheaper and has more options for weapons

- If in base-to-base contact with a destroyed vehicle, they can fire one of its weapons. Not clarified if per turn or per game.

That sounds really interesting because thats basically how they used to work. They'd kill a unit in close combat and then get to use thier guns.

Flash Gitz
Weapons now have random range instead of random AP
New range is 12 + 3D6”. Triple 1 on range causes Overheat
Weapon upgrade options include +1Bs, +1 Attack, Blast, Skyfire

These could be really good depending on what the AP value of the guns are. Hopefully they won't cost a redonkulus amount of points to field like they currently do.

Stormboyz
Can now assault Fliers
Must move 18” on movement if charging a flier

Now that sounds more fun than punching buildings.

Grots
Whole bunch of Grot units, including Grot Buggies, Whirlybirds, Rokkits and Snotlings
Grot Boss unit – has same stats as an Ork Boy with +1Bs

Hmm I wonder if it's going to be like fantasy and the next book is going to be called Orks and Grots instead of just Orks. I heard about the grot buggies maybe it's going to be a multi kit that lets you build war buggies as well. Now if GW wants to actually sell these new war buggy kits then they should make them work like the space marine attack bikes and Dark Angels land speeders work. IE you attach them to a unit of warbikers. Guarantee if you have to burn a fast attack slot to bring them no one will want them. Wonder if the Red Gobbo will come back?

Gretchin
Now separate from Grots
Units of up to 20, 2pts per model
Has an upgrade called Control Collars: basically, bomb collars that explode when the unit fails Leadership. Think alternative for Runtherders

Only 20? That's not a  lot of gretchin. They better have some "send in the next wave" type of rule if thats the case.

Use Waaagh! points for powers
Waaagh points also contribute to Weirdboy’s death. When he dies, casts "Eadbanga" on himself. More points means bigger and more powerful explosions

That sounds really awesome if true. Although I seriously doubt Orks will get divination. Because holy crap 30 boyz with a 4+ inuln that can reroll all there hits? Lootas with prescience on them? Shok Attack guns that ignore cover? I really like the idea of using WAAAGH! energy instead of warp charges.

Quote
Bomb squigs now can be taken as units
Includes more options. Can have upgrades for more powerful explosions or melta

Orks can definitely use some melta.

Quote
Due to Waaagh! changes, Ghaz has 3 Waaaghs! Not sure if armywide or distributed to units
Killa Kanz to Elites – may require Grot boss

If Ghaz still gets a 2+ invuln then I'm all for him having three WAAAGHS! I really hope killa kans don't need a grot boss.

NEW UNITS
New unit of Warlord Nobz, can be taken as HQ. One Nob is the Warlord. On death, another Nob is the Warlord. Must kill entire unit for the kill

This is like the old Warboss retinue they had in the old editions. I'll have a use for all those extra Warbosses I bought for mega battle. It would be pretty cool if it could give orders like the IG command squad.

Quote
Possible mek tanks with upgrades
- Upgrades including a KFF and a SAG that shoots bomb squigs – if they miss you place a bomb squig

They basically already have this on Forgeworld. It's called the Mek Boy Junka. I've been using it a lot lately it's pretty fun. It comes with a deff rolla standard and if you take a Shok Attack gun and roll double 5's it shoots itself across the table and deff rolls whatever you were targeting. You can put a kustom forcefield on it if you want but your better off just sticking a Big Mek inside if you want to do that. There used to be an old unit called squig lobbas that were catapults that launched squigs at opposing armies. I wonder if this means they're going to get rid of the looted wagon.

Quote
SAG and Flakk guns might be taken as Big Gunz unit

As long as I can have 12 grots that are toughness 7 against shooting stand  in front of them I'm all for it. Though I wonder whats going to become of the Big Mek with the Shok Attack Gun.

Quote
Halftrakk unit called Gutripper

There's the big trakk which can field the really effective supa kannon. And I know Forge world has an Ork half trakk model but otherwise I have no idea.

Quote
Multi-wound Squiggoth-like beast

I was kind of hoping this would be that weird Franken-Ork briefly mentioned in Mad Dok Grtosnik's codex entry. Still a monstrous creature is a monstrous creature. I expect these to be pretty popular.

Quote
Supplements
Goffs and Blood Axes first
Blood Axes can allow Kommandos as troops and can ally with Guardsmen

Yaaay supplements. And one is an excuse to buy the new guard models. No cult of speed though huh?

Quote
NEW BOXES
Snapfit mekboy and weirdboy?
Deffkopta kit
Cybork body parts box
Combi Flash Gitz/Tankbustas box

Sweet cybork conversion bits. I've been wanting to make a proper 30 man cybork boyz squad for awhile. Still Kromlech makes some really good cybork conversion bits so I'm going to see how GW's prices compare before I go all out on that.
Should the miserable Grot crews survive for long they will soon become deafened and have to resort to a rudimentary system of sign language. This is rarely successful as there are only so many signs a Grot can carry around with him.

A good read but we'll have to wait for anything concrete. Even IG (Astra Militia) models pics have been leaked and we still have no rule rumors on them.. and they supposed to be next.
