There's another thing to consider too. To use the initial example, it's not just a 100 point unit in a vacuum. If there's this infinite data, is there value in seeing how units match up against specific armies?

Or how about this completely different idea? We know that dice and player skill should level out over infinite time. What if we then just derive a ratio based on killiness and points? (It wouldn't factor in synergy with other units, because we're just looking at specific units.) For example, how many points divided by how many Marines on average can the certain unit kill, that would give us a points-per-killed-Marine ratio.

In the above idea, I wanted to factor in a unit's durability, but I think there's plenty of numbers already. But durability and points could also be derived using lots of numbers.
