How often do people come in to paint minis?
« on: September 11, 2013, 12:01:46 PM »
Hey everyone,

I was just wondering if the store had any mini painting groups. I'm still in the process of just getting my Blood Angels started and I was curious because I would like a chance to get to know the stores community a bit better. I get most of my painting done on the weekend so if anyone is coming into paint on Saturday or Sunday please let me know.

(I'm one of those people that doesn't like to field unpainted armies and I'm still a few boxes of short of having 1k points as well)

Which location do you frequent, Mr. Fox?

Same here. Occasionally I'll come in on a Saturday to do some painting.
Should the miserable Grot crews survive for long they will soon become deafened and have to resort to a rudimentary system of sign language. This is rarely successful as there are only so many signs a Grot can carry around with him.

Sadly I work a 4-midnight shift every weekday. So I would have to paint/game when the store opens. So I'm curious if anyone comes in to paint on the weekend.

If it happens, it happens somewhat randomly.  Saturdays we tend to host events that eat up a fair portion of the space in the store.  On off weeks people typically come in to play, paint, and hang out but it's nothing that's organized ahead of time.

Unless you were to set something up it would be a crap shoot on whether people are around and painting.

There are some players who like to work on their models before Thursday 40k. There are certainly plenty of players with whom one can chat to pass the time whilst painting.

I think me and a buddy of mine will be coming on saturday afternoon to hang out and paint some minis (assuming the tables aren't taken up by some other event.) Feel free to join us.
