Games Workshop Price Increases
« on: May 25, 2009, 02:06:52 AM »
Hello.  I was made aware of new GW price increases on many plastic kits and also blisters.  Has anyone else heard about this?  I have a list of the products covered by the increase (along with their new prices) at Games Workshop Price Hike Covers 40k, Warhammer Fantasy, Lord of the Rings, Specialist Games and More.  Sorry for the link to my blog, I hate doing that, but the list is mighty long.

Some of the highlights are the Baneblade and Ork Stompa kits will now be $99, Von Carstein General blister (and a lot of other similar WFB general blisters) are going to $22.  Quite a few plastic boxes will be $41.25.  Don't know where they got the numbers from.  Looks like most things are only going up .25 or $1.25 so the increase isn't a lot but it still stings.

The only increases I know about are in that list.  I think I saw some paints listed but it may have only been spray paints.  I'm posting this from my iPod so if I switch to check that list I'll lose what I'm posting now.  You can double check the list to see if any paints are there.  Sadly I don't remember.

I can understand a need for an increase in the current economic climate but I guess I'm glad I won't be spending these large sums of cash on more GW stuff for armies.  So expensive for an army.  Oh well everyone needs to pay the bills.

Stockholm syndrome doesn't work that way.  But I think that's basically what GW is doing anyway.

I think it is marketed under the name "Go Outside With Girls and People."  I hear it is also good for curing gamer complexion and the dreaded G.S.  Doesn't work overnight but it slowly cures the illness.

Ooh new on the market, untested results for some trial groups but could turn into a late favorite.
