The point I was trying to make, is that each unit in a 40k codex is meant to synch with the rest of the codex to minimize army weaknesses. The game wasn't meant to support playing with a single type of unit, as they vary from codex to codex(some lack in certain units in favor of another) and others are just better then their counterparts.

not every army has tanks either but the annual tanks-giving is loads of fun. If this is a walker event (and Thats not confirmed yet) sure some codex have much better options and some codex have none, but chances are 90% of the people who are regulars have bought a black reach or dark vengeance and therefore own at least one dread.

If going the FW route, there are also the various Space Marine/Chaos Space Marine Contemptors, as well as the Daemon/Chaos Marine Decimator.

First, I love the rampant speculation.

Second, I'll revise the list.

Third, I should just post random questions, because it's spawned an interesting conversation.

Fourth, the GW website lists Karamazov as Infantry (Unique). Not a walker by the strictest, most technical term. I might have access here to a GK codex... in the same room as a sleeping roommate who just flew in from China. And boy, are her arms tired!

Fifth... oh, you're waiting for a fifth? That's cute.

Marines also have Contemptor Dreadnaughts if you include forge world walkers. Minotaurs have a Unique one.

Adepticon may have a helpful list of stuff.  You may have to pick out the walkers though.

Let's see if I can find it...
