Grey knights also have access to venerable dreads but other than that it looks solid.

dark eldar have those scorpion looking things, not sure if they are walkers or mcs

Technical Karamazov is a walker also on the Throne of Juuuuuuudgement but hes an HQ.

For what it's worth, BA can fit more walkers in a standard FOC than anyone (barring the existence of an army that can take squadrons in FA and HS, which I'm not aware of).  You can rock 3 Furioso's (type of your choosing), 5 Death Company Dreadnoughts (your other troop slot has to be 25-30 Death Company, so no scoring here), and 3 HS dreads.  Granted, it's well over  2k points anyway, but it's worth knowing...

If I know Ben, this sounds like the pre-lims of a walker event he is designing. Which sounds awesome, especially if he makes it close combat arena style with no long range weapons!

Some walkers are better at shooting then CC, some walkers suck @ CC

True elder walkers with their lance weapons (although few walkers have av 13 anyway)or gk with psybolt ammo

If this is a walker event it might be worth considering adding a point value to make it evener

Like a squad of IG sentinals is prob the same price as a venerable dread

Oh holy crap.  I would LOVE a walker event.  As some of you know, I have a dreadnought problem.  For those that don't, I own..... 15ish regular dreadnoughts, and about 8 contemptors dreads, which are my new favorite.  My Lamenters army will have between 3 and 8 dreadnoughts in it, eventually.

What about Tau and Tyranids, they don't have walkers.. maybe walkers, vehicles, and monsters?

Point of order, CSM hellbrute IS a dreadnought, just renamed.

I mean, a problem here is that in some way GW clearly means MCs and walkers to be equivalents.....but they're just not, MCs are almost always way better.

The point I was trying to make, is that each unit in a 40k codex is meant to synch with the rest of the codex to minimize army weaknesses. The game wasn't meant to support playing with a single type of unit, as they vary from codex to codex(some lack in certain units in favor of another) and others are just better then their counterparts.
