Thanks to everyone that came out and made this event a good time.  It was a fun field, which was cool to see.

Congratulations to the winners!

Best General - Alex Fennell
2nd Best General - Bill Souza
3rd Best General - Jared Friedman

Player's Choice - Sam Gould

Best Appearance -  Mike Defevers

(Lists may follow, time is short right now)

If you're headed to NOVA you may be interested in our NOVA Open "Trial" Event on August 17th.  It'll be out first trip into 4 round, W/L territory and will use the NOVA Open Primer missions, as written.  If you're not attending NOVA and want a shot at some 40k action, feel free to sign up also!

And while all those fancy, competitive guys are away at their GT, Battleground in Plainville will be hosting some sort of 40k tournament (looking at 1250 or 1500).  August 31st will offer a 40k event without most of the GT crowd.  :)

Ghost Boner. It's scary when it pops out at you.

I can't open .ros files and wasn't going to go looking for whatever would allow me to.  Instead, you got the file name.  :)

GJ as always BG staff.  Great event, great people, and I liked the format.

Unfortunately those are the most disappointing results ever for me and i didnt take the dice you can give them to a kid or a new player looking to get started courtesy of Dark Star.

As the results proved here I am not a fan of the way the points laid out in the missions.  It was just to easy to have multiple people with the same points.  I get the tie breakers and thats all good but I like to see a more diversity in the points.  Just my opinion though.

Agreed. I'm not sure if its a product of the points system or just needing more rounds but there is like a 6 way tie in there lol. 32 people would need 5 rounds to make a winner even with BP. It'll be exciting to see how the 4 round pans out on August.

SO, I will say I actually really really liked the missions, themselves.  I know I used to defend first blood, but I guess I've changed my mind, I liked having it only be a tie breaker (and I say that as a Tau player)

But, if I'm reading this right, there was a........6 way tie for 5th?!?  O_o

I think part of the problem was, unlike some other missions, if you won primary, it seemed you were really likely to win secondary and such.  Like, if you get the the four corner objectives, table quarters is probably not going to be a problem.

'Course, I got nearly tabled once and and then tabled people in turn twice (or nearly) so I was going to have max swings no matter what.
