I notice a few Data sheets from last book not present. The plague Tower, the Nurgle Bane Blade, also things like the jamming beacon thing that always caused controversy, and other stuff is no longer represented by a model like the shield generator. Also I notice the warlord titan and the Emperor Titan are no longer there.

Emperor Titan was not in the old Apoc book either, right?  Wasn't it just put up on the GW website?

It is interesting that some of that stuff isn't in the book though.  I wonder if they're planning to release the rules with new models.

Is there a lot a new stuff?

I'm really intrigued by these Warzone supplements.  There's the Armageddon warzone in the book, and Warzone: Pandorax inlcuded in the collector's edition (coming to everyone else... soon?).  It would appear that they're making codex supplements for rules add-ons, which is pretty exciting.  Perhaps the day of the campaign book (that doesn't suck *cough* crusade of fire *cough*) may be upon us once again.

Another interesting thing is that the new fortifications that just came out had rules included in the box. This "revolutionary" concept could be a big deal for GW.  It'd let them continue kicking ass with model making (which they have generally been doing for a very long time) while not being constrained by multiple year delays between codices for factions.  It'll be interesting to see whether that paradigm is applied elsewhere. 

Perhaps GW is responding to the threats in the tabletop gaming market?  I'd love to see more of that.

Still patiently... ok not patiently waiting for my gamers edition to show up in the mail tomorrow.

Very interested to see what changed with the superheavies weapons stat lines because of the new templates.

On a non-apoc note i'm also interested to see what is going to happen with the new fortifications.

I know they come with rules in the boxes

supposedly have rules for regular and apoc games (although i've heard the big one is apoc only)

They might need to be attached to that wall of martyrs? which i don't think currently has rules or a point cost?

I'm just waiting to hear if I can field 8 skyfire interceptor lascannons in a normal game and if so, I've got a solution to the helldrakes that regularly make it to thursday 40k night. Hint, it involves 8 skyfire lascannons...

Unless someone rules otherwise, the Firestorm Redoubt is a legitimate choice.  The model is very cool.

The rules are reasonable for it, the only real downside being that the guns are BS2, as they're automated, and you can't man them.  Regardless each of those Quad lascannons is a 96" range S9 AP2 Heavy 2 Twin-Linked, Skyfire, Interceptor gun.  It has to fire at the nearest flyer or flying monstrous creature, which is kind of unfortunate, although it is what it's there for.
