Some details:
Book seems sick. Same size as the 40k rulebook. Tons of formations that don't cost additional points on top of the models, tons of assets, 6 different "scenarios," an "in depth" look at Armageddon, crazy warlord traits that turn your warlord into a monster (rolls on a crazy chart), there's something in there that turns him into some sort of Primarch too, new and similar rules to the 4th edition version.
Gamer's edition comes with a giant, double sized transport case that appears as some sort of vortex grenade carrying case. I guess it's high end. Rep said it's quality resembles a Pelican case.
Collector's edition is neat. It's supposed to be Inquisitor Coteaz's personal book carrying thingamajigg. Inside you actually get two books. A fancy, smaller, rules only hardcover and a super fancy "everything else" book that comes with some extras. Something about coming with exclusive formation cards and asset cards. I may have misheard that part. It comes with a poster and in addition to the whole Armageddon storyline and scenarios you get another whole section on a famous battlefield that is exclusive to the CE.
The Baneblade kit can make all 8 of the tanks.
The Lord of Skulls is apparently not done justice on the cover of WD, which seems odd. That was the only thing he had to say about it.
The Necron superheavy can be built as one of two things also. One is a giant obelisk which "is death to all flyers" and the other one either is the seat of a Catan or channels a Catan (I can't remember what he said). I guess it can cause all sorts of rifts and earthquakes and stuff. Seems pretty neat.
Two of the new Wall of Martyrs pieces are compatible with regular 40k. One of them seems awesome and had two of the twin linked "I kill your flyer" guns. I forget what the other one has. Apparently a rules insert comes in the box of each piece. The other one is the size of the Fortress of Redemption and is Apoc only. It can be built as one of two things... Either some giant thing that resembles the Ion Cannon from Star Wars or a giant missile silo / launcher thing.
The Apoc templates have changed a bit. The teardrop is the same but the other two are different. The clover is changing somehow. The pie plate is more like a pizza plate now and is FIFTEEN INCHES instead of ten. I think that's awesome.
The cards are basically just like the psychic cards only for whatever they're calling strategic assets this time around.
(This is poorly written, I'm sorry. Trying to memory dump.)
I AM being allocated on everything, so if you do want something please let me know ASAP. I'm not even guaranteed all the books I want. :/
