I guess he went 1-1.  I'm not sure how the games played out or what really happened.  I did hear that Pauls 25 tanks failed to land a shot on Lees Defilers all game.

He played:

IG v SM (Brian) - won
IG v Plague Marines (Lee) - lost

He seemed really excited about the Codex.  Everyone seems excited about the Codex.

I took a look at it yesterday and it seems like there's roughly 1000 tanks to choose from...  I'm told that they've brought back units from some of the older editions.  There's a giant missile in there too.

There's a ton of stuff to choose from now and it seems like you can really take the army in many different directions.  Sadly, I don't know enough about the game to comment on what I think about the usefulness of anything... although peoples first reaction is that almost everything is quite good.

New models though are always good.

it is true that i lost to the ginger. it is also true that the 10 people in the room, ginger included, determined that the guard should have won around turn 2. thats why im a mcfailure against the handicap-marines.

I think this is all a sham.  With all that AP 3 Str 8 guns you have... HOW?!

Also you went tank hunting with leman russes so by definition, the gods of 40k punished you for breaking the rule of tank usage all youngins learn early with guard.

Okay I'll bite, What in gods name does " FtW LoLZ!!!11!!!!" mean? 

Apart from that I'm glad to hear that the new Guard Codex is not Dice proof, that would make it too powerful.
