Well, I dunno, does 40K really have combos?  Markerlights, I guess.

Despairteks in deathmarks? Tomb spyders and scarabs? Necron codex has a bunch, but does synergy=combo? A combo with markerlights could be chaining them so every unit except the first one that shoots is like BS5.

Oh I think 40k totally has combo-ish things where whole is greater than the sum of its parts... mostly due to special rules being handed around.   Logan + Drop Pod + Long Fangs, or FLeshHounds + Herald on a juggernaut, or that whole mixed Eldar/Dark Eldar harlequin unit, or _insert independent character here_ + an IG blob squad.   Although I think one of the things I most like about 40k as a game is that the combo's aren't THAT much more than the sum of their parts... it's rare for a combo to truly feel cheap or unbeatable.

I don't believe I've ever used the word combo to describe anything like we're talking about in Warhammer. It's probably the Magic connotation that's killing it, as Magic combos are effectively instant-wins and not very counterable.

I just signed up now that I found out I don't have to work that weekend. Hopefully I'll have everything painted before then
Should the miserable Grot crews survive for long they will soon become deafened and have to resort to a rudimentary system of sign language. This is rarely successful as there are only so many signs a Grot can carry around with him.
