You may want to hold onto any of the weapons, as an Ork player you can build most of your units rather than buying them from GW. Orks are really easy to convert build. 60-70% of all my Orks are converted from bitz.

Lets see, off the top of my head this is what I built using AoBR Bodies (greatest thing ever put out for Ork Players)
20ish Lootas built with random weapons
15 Tanks Busters built with missile bits left over from dakkajets
10 Flashy Gitz built with random weapons
10 Komandos built with random weapons and backpacks
1 Blasta Bomma slapping random weapons on a HE-111 model kit
etc etc etc
Ork Elite/Heavy Support/Anything are pretty easy to build using regular boyz and then extra parts. Take Lootas for example, GW charges 25$ for basically 4 lootas. you can buy a box of boyz for, what, $30? you have 10 bodies that you load up with every over the top weapon you can grab and presto you have 10 Lootas.
Ork Konversions are the best and most fun thing about playing Orks. Here is the thread were I had to get my scratch builds approved for last years MegaBattle. Just to give you an idea what an Ork can do. Orks can loot anything and no matter how bad you thing your skills are...everything Orky comes our looking awesome.
