High Elves are very likely to go on preorder on 4/27 if anyone cares. Actually I think if we could get Ben to play one game of fantasy then he would probably be able to convert and create more duel system players  ;D

In any case, I have an announcement.

I will buy a Riptide, regardless of it's rules.  I have decided it will require not only Magnets, but Mini-LEDs.

Lots and lots of mini-LEDs.

throwing gasoline on the fire:

This actually is kinda cool if true, it means it points to an Imperial Agent/Xeno ally supplement release. Could mean for Adaptecus Mechinicus or Kroot Merc allies. Might as well throw the entire Ork range in there as well lol

I'd totally be up for modeling some genestealer Ork hybrids.
Should the miserable Grot crews survive for long they will soon become deafened and have to resort to a rudimentary system of sign language. This is rarely successful as there are only so many signs a Grot can carry around with him.

Ah Pat that also reminds me of the rumored genestealer cult allies for tyranids.

For the daemon release there were also rumors that bloodletters would get AP4 weapons.. so you can't believe everything you hear  ;)

I don't, but someone was all excited about the rumour yesterday that kroot and vespids wouldn't be in.

Some rumours ring more true to me than others, but fundamentally I am going off the belief A) GW understands the backlash there would be if they invalidated models & units, even for only a few months B) They mostly shown an unwillingness to do so, for those reasons.

Matt -

B is totally false! We have already discussed the reasons why

A You really think GW is concerned with that?  Releasing another book makes more money which = profit

GW is a business and is making the right moved for their business.  We dont have to like it but they are doing what is best for them period.  The hobby will continue and thrive regardless of what the 2% of vocal people that play this game say about it.

You did, and we also discussed why your examples are inapplicable. I don't think 13th company or lost and the damned are at all the same case.  Those models are still useable.  There would be nothing to use Kroot and vespids as.

To an extent. I think it would lead to LOT of anger, not from the hardcore internet types, but from the hobbyists, who they apparently care a lot more about.  I don't think it would make them very much money.

Again, you guys wanna bet?  We can even make it in store credit, if you want.

I already bet $10 BG credit that kroot and vespid would be in, GW can always expand in an allies supplement.

Regardless of the reasons why you are failing to acknowledge Squats.

Also involved are the other armies locate din the Armageddon book.  These models do not have rules for armies anymore so they are redundent..

Can I use the model still?  On a occasion yes a squd of SW can have a wulfen!  Yay but that is 1 out of an entire army!

Where are the rules for LOD?  Can I use them as SM sure!

Sqauts whereare those rules?  Can they still be used as proxy IG sure!

Either way the result is the same they made the models redundent and therefor your logic is not sound.

As for betting lets not get stupid we are having a logical debate lets keep it as such.
