I disagree with a good amount as well especially when youlook at the player pool we have in this area.  Case in point Alex Fennell who takes a average list but continues to do very well.  Why because of player skill.  Also this is why we see the same people winning GT's not because there army is awesome but because of player skill and knowing how to overcome the definciencies in lists.

Also, is the man aware that there are actual Rock/Paper/Scissors tournaments?  Mostly a study in psychology but still, legit tournaments, and the winner is not random.

I think this article is right on in that 100% of what he says are facts. The thing that amuses me is that he tries to assemble these facts together to try and make a point. To me this reads like: peanut butter is made from peanuts and jelly is usually made from grapes so cars are fast, none of these points are incorrect but the conclusion is absurd. Yes; chess is much more skill based than 40k and meta dictates a lot in 40k but to conclude by those two points independently that this means 40k couldn't possibly competitive is hilarious. By this same token you can just argue that nothing is competitive or could be competitive and while you wouldn't technically be wrong; it doesn't make any more sense.

I would like also include that "bearding" is a sport.
