haha I love how you guys wont address teh question. So rediculous.

What's ridiculous is the lack of spell check on some computers.

Also, the hobby means many things to many people.

By your logic, you shouldn't be posting on the internet because by my subjective view, you shouldn't be stating things as fact with anecdotal evidence.

Obviously everyone would rather both HAVE fully painted armies and play AGAINST fully painted armies. That being said i find it to be extremely judgmental and immature for some new kid to walk into battlegrounds and then come troll on these forums looking for drama.

Maybe a player wants to figure out what works in their army before they go through painting it all?

Maybe they only care about the strategy aspect and don't care about the paining?

Maybe this is their 5th army they just assembled and haven't had time to paint THIS army?

Maybe a player works 2 jobs and can't afford the paints and brushes on top of the models or just doesn't have time to paint?

Battlegrounds has provided a great relaxing environment for us all to come and have a good time, and they ask very little in return.

If you want to be a POSITIVE part of this community by contributing with meaningful discussions and playing games that are fun and full of good sportsmanship then you are off to a poor start.

If you keep up this hateful childish trolling and unfounded judging of people you've never met before you will find yourself without anyone who wants to play a game with you and will be ignored on these forums.

Wow..people are going on the attack.

And I can see maybe testing a strategy before painting...but having been there a lot, it would seem people are testing a lot as I have personally only seen 2 or 3 armies that painted as well.

If someone only care about the strategy their are better rules in Magic the gathering, which is a fully strategic game that is ready to play out of the box at a lower price tag.

Again, time...it seems like a lot of people don't have the time..not a attack, just an observation.

And price..again, there are cheaper games to play such as Magic, which again, is great..at a fraction of the price with strategic elements.

You are all attacking him for trolling, when in fact he does make good point. I got turned on to this game when I saw two people playing with fully painted armies...not greatly painted, but fully painted...making the game seem like a deep hobby game which made players take pride in their work as well as gaming awesomeness. It is a game that takes time.

Again..not attacking any players.

I've said it before.....I'm tactics guy first and a hobby guy second.  (everyone probably already knows this)  I still have all my stuff painted most of the time.  (sometimes, like everyone else, I'm adding a new unit, but even then I tend to get 3 colors on them, they're just sloppy and un-based)

The 3 color rule is fine...that is all the effort that is needed in the painting to make the game more enjoyable and visually awesome.

As stated earlier, there are other games that require no painting, have a lot of strategy, at a fraction of the price. Magic is the best one I can think of..right out of the box, $20 bucks ready for hours of game time.

and trust me, I understand the wanting to play right away..I have been painting a army for about 2 months now..have not gotten to play with it yet..but soon.

Stop the feeding!

I am not trolling...I am having an honest to god discussion. Please stop saying that I am trolling...I have stated many times I am not attacking anyone at all.

As a matter of fact..I feel other people who have been responding back to me are having an enjoyable conversation.

However, I will stop posting if others feel this trolling.

You keep saying "take pride in what you do" but you take minimal effort in understanding how to spell or in looking into where other people are in the hobby.

The first part of the sentence is pointing out your ignorance and the latter part is pointing out you being a troll.

You are ignorant because you are judging people you dont know.  Everyone plays for different reasons.

You are a troll because your very first post was an attempt at condemming a group of people that YOU have issues with in how THEY enjoy the game.

If your models arent painted you are either lazy or cant afford the hobby. As jokerr has stated, if you cant find the time or the money, or are lazy, go play magic. It is a good game. Once again. not trolling lol. and the_trooper, stop being a grammar nazi. The idea is understood. So your just coming off as extremely unintelligent. Thats it. You can TRY to justify it to yourselves but there really isnt anything else to this conversation. Either take pride in the hobby or go play another one. You cant even play with unpainted models in GW stores lol
