I've seen some stuff printed out before and vehicles, dreads and such come out decent but very blocky. I can't imagine them being able to do tiny arms and hands and guns but i imagine the technology will advance to that point some day.
Makerbot replicator 2 costs $2000 and has 0.1 millimeter resolution. Not exactly GW finecast resolution, but that should be enough to print out e.g. termagants where you wouldn't be able to tell the difference from the original.
We'll still need sculpters and if Gw oofloads the manufacturing then that's a win. So GW will start selling patterns, and materials that work "best" with said patters.
The topic we were discussing was creating our own models without buying them from GW without buying them from Battleground.
