It's not even the same game.  Seriously.  WTF.

Are you still whining?

Honestly, I think your whining over nothing. I highly doubt that someone is going to walk in to BG with a White Scars army of Jetbikes, or even a Primarch. For all we know, no-one could bring ANY HH models.

Alan, I love that you're British and have a different standard of politeness.

So he has a standard?  Oh to be british "Oh why hello I'd like to save you a bunch on car insurance you big jerk you."  So much control, such elegance.  I think we can all learn something from today.

You see, there are kids who play 40k and don't listen to their parents when they say "gee kiddo those say ages 14 and up on it"  and just play, then they get upset when the adults bring things from over seas that have melta cannons for a grand when they just spent their whole allowance on a new flyer.  So as the adults here, lets all just calm down, have some tea, and then take that lil tugger "sir prometheus" for a big boy sundae at dairy queen, but no chocolate sauce, or he'll be bouncing up and down the walls tonight.

On another note, this event looks pretty cool.  Just throwing it out there... neat stuff.

There's a claw hammer in one of the fw books right? Cause that would make me feel a whole lot better about going.

Should be fun, I'm sure people will bring all sorts of interesting things given that it's the abington crew (who have no shortage of the wacky factor).

The level of maturity here is pretty astounding. The Abington "community" seems swell.

Chase, I asked above but it probably got lost in the back and forth. Does this event count toward next year's Invitational?

Assuming no, but I just want to be sure.  :)

We might not be a big community, but we are a proud community. We don't care if our fellow Abingtontiees are a bunch of goons, we are all each other have, & we don't have to man-power to pick and choose. Don't you agree? We don't care what others think of us, but we think of ourselves; and we think we are great. Besides we have 2 redcoats on our team, we are just about as amazing as it gets.

Nope.  That stuff will likely start after PAX East.  Late spring early summer.

I think we're going to shift to a summer - summer "year" due to how difficult it is to schedule around the end of the year.

MUhaha me again...

quick question because I am not familiar with FW units

Quote
7. Forge World / Imperial Armour / Horrus Heresy units AND ARMY LISTS **ARE** allowed in this Doubles event, however each unit is considered unique (0-1) and may only be taken once per Team.

If FW army lists are allowed wouldnt that mean units couldnt be unique?  What if the FW list only has 1 type of troop?

I only ask this because like I said I am not familiar with FW stuff at all and was curious.

I considered this possibility.  I was hoping that there would be at least 2 troop choices per list, which would force their hand.

The Death Korps of Krieg can either take an infantry platoon or an engineer squad as a troop slot -- but the platoon consists of multiple infantry squad selections. Any way we can modify this restriction? Otherwise I can't legally bring my favorite army :)

There is a civil discussion going on with a little bit of friendly ribbing. No need to troll or be condescending, it's unbecoming of the Battleground community as a whole.

Hey Mike,
Good point, I'm not bringing my Elysians so wasn't paying attention to that. Ths restriction does cause problems for anyone wanting to take more than two troop choices from a FW list.

@Chase what prompted that?

Hope this can be worked out, I can't wait to see those guys on the field, I just wish I'd known about this great new allowance of forgeworld!  I'll have to see how many Elysians I can Finish for next time.

Cheers,
Alan

Wish one of the options allowed for an allied detatchment (could be 0-1 and then 1 hq/troop) but I'm sure there is a legit reason not to.
