Thanks to everyone that came out and made this a great time, thanks for being great, and thanks to Ben for all the work he put into the event and the Invitational Qualifiers.  It was a fun field, which was cool to see.

Congratulations to the winners!

You have no idea how pissed I am that Decio ruined my perfect score by not killing me fast enough.
0000 - Rest Period - BUT YOU BETTER NOT SPEND FOUR WHOLE HOURS SLEEPING. IF YOU DO YOU ARE NOT ANGRY ENOUGH AND TOMORROW YOU GET THE FIRST CHANCE TO PLAY PIN THE TAU ON THE CARNIFEX.

I am so looking forward to analyzing these results.

First thing that jumps out at me, how the top half of the field, the primary detachment is all the newest codices. It looks like 3/4 of the field was playing the newest books too.

Second thing that immediately jumps out at me, I was the only player with Space Marines.

Something that jumped out at me is No Orks at all. Every army seem to be represented in some way outside of Orks.

Sisters count as a newer codex?

And for the zero people who're interested, here's a readable version of my list:

Celestine
Jacobus
Battle Sister Squad with Heavy Bolter
Battle Sister Squad with Multi-Melta and a Rhino with Searchlights
9 Seraphim with 2 girls with Hand-Flamers and an Eviscerator on the Sister Superior
3 Exorcists

Company Command Squad with a Lascannon
Platoon Command Squad with a Lascannon
5 Infantry Squads with Flamer/Lascannon/Meltabombs/Power Axe
Manticore

Just because Sisters don't have a proper codex doesn't mean that it's not new.

Celestine is the single most broken character (for the points) in all of 40k, easily.

Disagree. Coteaz is one counter-example.

I am actually Interested in your list Ben see what you ran as Space Marines. I am doing a complete overhaul on my Army lists so I would love to know what worked and didn't for you.

Actually i play Dark Eldar and I even admit that the Baron is retardedly broken... Put with the right unit (in my case Grotesque) he gives/gets...

1) Str 7 on the charge
2) gives his entire unit stealth ( in most cases, as you walk across the board you can get in some sort of cover, then stealth making it 4+)
3) he gives his entire unit assault and defense grenades.
4) He has a jump pack effectively, so when it is time to set up a charge he can jump up to 12"... usually 8" ( since hes usually in the back) while the unit moves 6" and still maintain coherency (think of how a necron player gets closer by creating a scarab at the beginning of the turn, effectively on your turn you have to assume 13.5" move from scarabs), with grotesque unit figure a 7.5" move.
5) And if you do get into hand to hand, he gives his entire unit Hit & Run, giving them a 3d6 move to any direction u like if you would like to leave. As long as you pass Initiative, which happens to be a 6...
6) he gives +1 to the die roll to set and go first
7) oh and a 2+ invul save, so when doing look out sir's, comes in quite handy.
8) if he fails the 2+ invul, he loses it, if he isnt instant killed, look he has ghost plate armor, 4+ & 6++

all for 105 points.

Drawbacks
1) no combat drugs
2) toughness elf...

WOW, what drawbacks  ;D

I am actually Interested in your list Ben see what you ran as Space Marines. I am doing a complete overhaul on my Army lists so I would love to know what worked and didn't for you.

The list I ran is the army I built for teaching, so it ain't no great shakes.

Librarian, Terminator Armor, Storm Shield (woefully under used, need to research psychic powers)
Terminator Assault Squad, TH&SSx4, Sarge w/ Lightning Claws

Thunderfire Cannon x2
Devastator Squad, ML x4

Dreadnought, MM, DCWW w/ storm bolter, Drop Pod
Dreadnought, TLLC, ML

Tactical Sqaud x3, sarges w/ power fists, two rhinos, 1 Razorback
Scouts x5, Camo Cloaks, ML, Teleport Homer

The Librarian and his squad actually worked really well. They held off Typhus and 20 plague zombies (and by every right the Librarian should have killed Typhus twice). They won the secondary objective in the second game handily, never had to worry because they were so solid. They were gunned down in the third game but even the Librarian still lived, giving my army a chance to move into position at game end. I took it on a case-by-case basis, but thought it better to Deep Strike the squad each game. It seems good to have that option.

The Thunderfire Cannons were honestly hit or miss, but for their points, I'd take them again. And with the Devastators, that can be 12 small blasts I'm throwing around per round. It can add up, with some luck.

The shooting Dreadnought had minimal effect. The Assault Dreadnought, I'd take again in a heartbeat. Coming out of the Drop Pod allowed me to react quickly.

I didn't utilize the Scouts well enough, nor the Librarian's psychic powers.

I feel like if I had spent time on a list, toward optimizing it, I could have won two games. There was nothing I know of with which I could have stopped Dean's list full of AP 3 balefire. It's a hard, hard counter.

It doesn't really look like the newest codexe dominated to any great extent.  At the top, in addition to the newer CSM, GK, Necrons, and Dark Eldar, there appears to be lots of:

-Imperial Guard
-Sisters (shouldn't count.)
-Tyranids
-Eldar (hello.)

Name:  Matthew Forsyth
Club:  Errybody in the gettin tips
Where I play: basically I only show up for tourneys or when I'm on my way up to New Hampshire to visit my folks.  I live about 45 mins from both stores, to the south.
