I have no idea what an iron gut is, but if it has wounds, he'll destroy it.

They only have 3 wounds each.

Its leadership 6.

Anyway, after reading the FAQ, it would seem Frostblade + Red Fury = a whole lot of dead multiwound targets. Each dead ogre generates 3 ogre-slaying attacks! Who needs stupid Konrad?

So, what is the strength on the cast of twilight?

Against females, Strength 10.

hey ian, i hope none of the ogres survive. cause you know, a 400+ pt model with virtually no save to speak of is totally ok with ogres (especially if the army goes away when he dies). hope he doesnt issue challenges

So, how strict do you have to be with movement trays?  I picked up those diy modular movement trays from BG, the GW ones.  I figured out how large the squad was, cut it out, and now I have some play around the bases... probably around a millimeter around the edges because of how the sides attach.  Will such be an issue with even the most anal of player?

Because you're supposed to measure from the bases of the models, not the tray, it doesn't matter.  The tray is simply there to make movement easier.

How are those trays? I was looking at them earlier but was unsure of how good they'd be.

If you have fat dudes that don't fit in the normal ones, go for it.  So far, they have been easy to work with.  I have a feeling I'll be buying lots of the modular ones as I learn the best way to field my ogres.

If we're still going to use this thread for rules questions, I've one that's been bugging me.

I watched a game the otherday and on combat in particular stands out. We have an uber unit engaged with two enemy units. The two units, through sheer crappy dice rolling lost combat and had to flee. Now one unit was to the front and one to the side. However, both players were okay with letting this uber unit catch and destroy both.

I'm confused, it looks in the rule book, like you have to pick a direction for pursuit and take it, essentially you cannot catch two units running in different directions.  Based on this I believe that the game I watched was played wrong. Am I losting it here?

Cheers,
Alan

No, unfortunetly that is how the pursuit rules work. I don't have a rulebook around but units that lost combat roll for fleeing distance, then the victorious unit can choose which unit to pursue (for advantageous purposes) but fleeing units are wiped out as long as the pursuit roll is equal to their flee roll regardless whether or not they choose to pursue them.

Basically rolling higher on a pursuit roll than your opponents flee roll means your unit was faster than theirs and as they turned to run you catch them and cut them down, doesnt matter which direction they're fleeing in.
