I came in third (so they told me, but they told the guy who beat me he came in 4th? Anyway I was 6-1). The top bracket had 4 demon lists that were basically the same (also, two Tau including myself!). I lost to one early Sunday morning, he was at that moment the top player, but I beat the next guy with nearly the same list afterwards.
Basically I chalk it up to I didn't deploy right against him, and I hadn't really fought screamers and flamers in 6th yet. (Matt Forsyth had some at the recent BG tournament, but only a few and his flamers mishapped).
Like I said, I beat the guy afterwards, nearly tabled him, actually, but I credit that to basically deploying perfectly, making absolutely no mistakes (if I do say so myself), AND at least a little bit of luck. Point, is everything had to go according to plan for me to win, and I still felt in mortal danger right until I had cleared off every flamer and screamer.
Oh, it helped that I got the 4++ power with Coteaz.
