Primary detachment must have the sorcerer to have the thousand sons be troops.

Thanks Seth.  With that out of the way what are the thoughts about the list?

Pity there aren't points to make the second thousands sons squad up to 9.

Looks pretty good.  Not much chaff but pretty fluffy.  Looks like you have 2 fliers which should help against most lists and the drake is pretty nice on the table top.

I like it as an "all comers friendly list with some teeth".  I could see this having some issues dealing with spammed armor but looks like it should be decent against troop heavy armies.

Nice and unified and fluffy...if you could find a way to save on points and make that other Squad number nine models, then all the better.

I like it I was working on something similar.

Something I read on another forum alluded to the fact that if you take a tzeentch herald on a chariot with an icon, you can make the flamers come in on him and make the footprint bigger so you can get more shots off.

Thanks for the feedback everyone.  I was thinking the same thing about the Thousand sons squad but I the reason that one of the squads is 8 strong is because the sorceror will go with them making every unit (minus the LOC and the Heldrake) the sacred number.  I was thinking about adding herolds but decided that the LOC gives me a lot of options for anti flyer, mobility, and threat (plus I like the Model).  I think with the screamer, flamers, and horrors with bolt I have a lot of anti armor options.  I know that T Sons are not the most competitive but I think with the deamons they gain a lot.  Thanks again and if there is any more advice on this list I would be very interested in hearing about it.

Any reason this is called a Thousand Sons list, when there are far more Daemons in it? Maybe it's a Daemon list with Thousand Sons detachment?

Probably doesn't matter. Just thought it peculiar.

About the list, you'd be better off with a Herald HQ and Tzeentch Daemon Princes. Lord of Change is alot of egg-points in one basket.

I've been fiddling with my Thousand Sons since the codex came out and this is really close to what I was going to eventually make. I love it!

Back in my day, when we had to walk up two hills, both going up, both ways, to battleground games and hobbies, Chaos Space Marines could take daemons, especially in a mono-god list.

The primary detachment must be thousand sons to get them as troops.

Also, daemons are nothing compared to the champions of chaos who summon them.  They should know their place.
