If so, I think the best way to deal with that is with mission types that slightly penalize flyers.....such as Nova (and others). I think there's a bit of a consensus that NOVA may have over-nerfed flyers, or at least vehicles, generally, though.
It seems like comp list/points bonuses in Fantasy is very popular, are we going to see that appear in 40k tourneys?
Every one has the ability to purchase Quad Flak Guns or Icarus Las Cannons. Every one practicly has fliers now. Really it should not be that big of a problem since fliers are Glass Cannons if you can hit them cleanly.
Comp attempts to balance what will never be balanced.That said, I'll never not look at anything. If people want to put together rules like this, show us what they would look like.

If people want to put together rules like this, show us what they would look like.I only ask because weaker Fantasy armies like Beastmen and Tomb Kings get to use an additional 200 points, while stronger armies like Daemons or Dark Elves get restrictions on some of their units. I'm not sure how that would translate to 40k
Fantasy does do a pretty good job, though the best books typically remain the best. Fantasy also has a harder time with balance as certain armies do not have much of a ranged threat and have to engage.
