Modifying Adepticon missions was my plan too.

If the modification is not too difficult and its practical with the missions I would like to suggest the new mission deployments as NOVA did them. The missions were gawd aweful and boring as heck but I loved the Dawn of War (book standard), Vanguard (slightly modified), and Hammer and Anvil (modified) deployments. They worked great and kept things interesting.

Taking advice from a couple people I we are going to increase the duration of each round from 2 hours to 2  hours and 15 minutes.

Also, the modified Hammer and Anvil I am probably not going to use due to the way we set the tables up for events.

We are going to be using modified (in some cases heavily) Adepticon 2012 Championship scenarios.

As soon as I get Acrobat (it's on the way) I am going to mess with creating my own fancy template.  Editing .pfd files takes far, far too long.

Sort of.  Where we use them they will function like they did at NOVA.

Monday is the last day to submit your army lists for the tournament! One week until BG drops its first 6th Edition tournament.

OK.

If the new Chaos Space Marines codex is indeed in effect, I'm going to be bringing them.

I recommend that we go back to using the Warlord traits straight out of the book (just pick one table and roll on it).  The reason for this is that CSM has its own Warlord traits table, and has certain HQ's that come with one specific warlord trait and don't allow a roll.  This tells me that GW is using access to warlord traits as a balancing factor for the power level of units, and we are mucking with that by making it so that HQ's without specific traits are allowed 2 rolls, picking the bettter one.

if we DO use the "pick 2 tables and roll on both", do CSM get to roll 1 on the CSM table and 1 on a "book table" and pick the better one?

Finally.... I want to point out something to the TO's which may be helpful when it comes to validating ppl's army lists.   A lot of people are talking about running Typhus and then taking giant units of Plague Zombies... this doesn't work because Typhus' plague zombie rule says that the zombie units cannot have any options.  Extra zombies is an option.  (Extra guys is an optional upgrade for the unit, it's listed in exactly the same place as all other options).

It looks like the "options" thing is correct. Not sure if it was intentional but plague zombie squads should be limited to 10.

Going to point something out about the warlord Trait. You choose to use the CSM table and you roll once and get a 1 you now have Hatred Space Marines against say Eldar.

You get the one that Grants Soul Blaze to the Warlord and his Unit when you're playing a Primarily Shooty army.

Space Wolves Get Counter-attack when they already have.

Limiting it to named Characters like Abaddon and Typhus is both Lore and Character Specific. Typhus has Fear. And Abaddon hates Space Marines. They both have a use to them though. Unlike Some of the others that punishes a player if he already has them.
