Update 6 - Hurricane bolters have been magnetized now and the plan to cover the magnets is to blend them into the door gatches so they dont look out of place.  Reds are ready to be implemented on the Raven next update soon.

Your links are broken my friend.  But the sunburst looks awesome and fits the chasis very well.  Very nice.  Keep sharing I love it.  I should have the 8th update up hopefully tonight or tomorrow.

8th Update - So Second coats are going well and the initial blacks have been done.  So I started on some details mainly the main cockpit glass and Mindstrike missiles.  The plan was to give the missiles energy look gives the apearence of pent up psychic energy.  I then use the same colors for the cockpit glass mainly because I love the greens but to also show that the Raven is a psychic vehicle after all.  Plus it matched all of my lenses on my raorbacks.  After the base coats are done I highlight the shaded/brigt spots with a lighter green then give a starburst of white as the focal point.  Once I have mat coated the raven I will then gloss coat the glass.  On to the pictures.

First the cockpit glass

And the Mindstrike missiles

Another update on the Inq Lord.  Im not happy at all with the left shoulder so I will be redoing it completely.  The reds are real rough right now and need another coat.  Still to come are shading on the books and hood a redo of the left shoulder and second coats.

On a side note does anyone have a spare Chaos Terminator Shoulder pad?  I need the one that is shaped like the damins skull and has the horns.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Inquisitor update.

SO I totally redid the left arm using the original shoulder modified with shield and arm bits and went and cleaned a few things up.  Next up is to wash the model give it some depth then do the eyes.

So at last I have Update 10 ready, due to trying to get games in before NOVA I have been delaying the process on getting the ravens finished however I did some much needed work on them this weekend.  Mainly I finished the their bases.  Alot of work went into them as I had to carve out foam in many different shapes plan the layout then carve into them after they were put down.  I also went with a lava effect in the middle to match the basing scheme for my army.  I am very happy with the way they came out and they are now ready for the stems to get pinned in place.  Feedback is always welcomed.

Thanks for looking -- now onto the pictures

Here is the initial [hase of construction just after finishing the foam and lay out

In this pic I have completed the second base and put sand on the outer edges

Now it was time to prime them

After first initial coats of black then a second coat of grey for depth

First base finished after lava painted and light coat of white to make rocks pop

And the grand finally both bases with a base from my army for comparison

Final Update

Stormraven has been finished washed and it ready to go to NOVA.  Hope you guys like it and this post helps motivate those who are doing something similar.  Basically all I did here was clean it up wash it, I went over the gold again to make it darker with burnished gold added a transition on the windows in between the 2 greens, dryburshed black around the engines and protected it along with magnatized hurricane bolters and custom base.  You can partially see the second one in the picture but for that one I modified it with magnatized las cannons and it is also done!
