Allies of convience
« on: July 12, 2012, 01:23:56 PM »
Skimmed through the big 40k questions thread and I know it's in there, but I couldn't find it.  So here's my post and question about this.  It says that ICs can't join but in some cases the HQ are all ICs.  I might just be miss reading it (over and over and over again), so I'm asking.  If it helps, I'm working on a list that adds an Inquisitor HQ to my IG army.  I'd love to put in Cortez...... just saying.

They can't join allied units of conveinence.  So you can bring coteas in fine, but he can only join GK squads.

Ah wonderfull.  If no Cortez, no Inquisitorial allies... need him to make the warband into a troop choice.  Glad I can pop him (or rather, a nice stand in for him) in.

GK can't be Battle Brothers with anyone, even other space marines.. that's because the Inquistion trusts NO ONE! Haha

Of course Grey Knights trust their allies... but then they kill them afterwards because theyve seen too much lol

I saw a GK apoc formation somehwere that was hillariously awesome because it plays into that fluff.

Basicly once the GK player wipes out the Chaos player, the Chaos player then gets to take control of the GK troops and
Starts wiping out all the GK allies because theyve seen too much lol
