Warhammer 7th Edition Rumors
« on: June 24, 2012, 05:52:34 PM »
It's never too soon to start looking ahead. Let's put all these rumors into one thread.

Deployment
  • All Out War - Place all models wherever you want. Take turns doing so, if you feel like it.
  • Deep Striking will now result in an automatic loss.

Mission Types
  • Roll Dice! - Whoever rolls the most dice wins. Except Orks.
  • Gas Attack - First player to take a shower, loses.

Movement
  • Infantry models can move 6-ish inches, depending on how much of a dick you are.
  • Jetpacks will allow you to win the game. If two players bring jetpack units, it's a draw, unless one of them is Orks, who lose.
  • Bikers can pull off "sweet jumps" and fly over enemies, attacking them along the way.

Vehicles
  • Every vehicle is a Fast Skimmer with a Dozer Blade, Quantum Shielding, infinite hull points and lots of guns. Everything is now the best thing ever.
  • Flyers will still be good, but superceded by large spaceships. Looks like you're losing? Glass the table with those models hovering 20 feet above your head!

Shooting
  • Models will not be allowed saves of any kind. Every weapon is BS 10 and wounds on 2+.
  • Lightning claws, which can now shoot for some reason, re-roll to wound.

Assault
  • Assaults will not be allowed in 7th Edition. The Assault Phase will be replaced by a second Shooting Phase.

Allies
  • Choose whichever models you want to play. Put them all in the same squad, even if they're from different codices. A squad of Orks and Plaguebearers led by Saint Celestine? Legit, bro!

Tidbits
  • Whirlwinds are still going to inexplicably terrible. To reflect this, every army must take a Whirlwind. Also, the price of each Whirlwind will be increased to $75 USD.

I have heard the white scars (being the most asian) are getting a new named librarian: Ryu. He has Hadoken which lets you win your current game plus the next game you play.

Ryu + "sweet jumps" = hax

Also noteworthy, Night Vision is going to be a legit thing.

That seems a little low.
