If neither of the armies' deploy rules get changed by allying, that makes it impossible for a CSM IC to be deployed with a Daemon unit.

Neither deployment rules change but because the CSM character does not have Daemonic assault he could not be placed with the daemons initially. This doesn't mean that you cannot drop the daemon unit off an icon than run the character in. (I am considering Abbadon in a unit because he is so friggen amazing. I have no clue why more people do not play him.

I'm just drooling thinking about allying in Fateweaver + anything (say some token bloodletters) into a CSM army.  Fateweaver is a little less broken in Daemons than he could be because not many Daemons have good armor saves (thus "Fatecrusher" was born).  In an army full of 2+ and 3+ saves, Fateweaver would be way beyond ridiculous.

At first glace it looks like Necrons or Chaos marines would be useful allies to take for their good shooting and anti-tank abiltity, but it looks like with the new hull point system tanks will become weaker anyways so we will just have to see. Regardless, can't wait for 6th!!

I have a chaos army collecting dust and never touched it because i dont agree with what they did to the chaos legions. I now want to make a Khorne Force to go with the Doom Blaster I made a while back.
