The was the best comment on Faeit 212 and sums up my thoughts exactly

Does SoB use psykers?

What I don't get for BT, is it said that they will not work with any psykers besides GK.  But they are buddy buddy with all the psyker using SM chapters, and are only grudging allies with GK.  I would think that all the other SM are unholy alliance and that GK would be brothers in arms.

Heck, Dark Angels shouldn't be brothers in arms with any marine chapter since they are worried about their secret getting out.  Any army that could field inquisitors should be unholy alliance with DA.

Kind of sucks that Tyrainds cannot ally with IG...no genestealer cults coming back.

Matt Ward's fluff is awesome.  Kill the alien....oh wait, give the alien some ice cream.

You mean the Witch Hunters?  Every at least Space Marine codex outside BT has a Librarian or equivalent.

Sisters attacked the Black Templars for refusing to adhere to Codex Astartes chapter size regulations. It is unknown how many Black Templars actually exist in the chapter, but some estimate that they have the manpower similiar to a full Legion, which was forbidden ever since after the Heresy. The Witch Hunters distrust them more then any other Imperial faction. Hope that answers your question.

Its just like Space Wolves and Dark Angels they have a Grudge against each other because of a Fight between Russ and Lion El'Johnson.

The list is actually very good on pairings. From a lore Stand point you can see a lot of good pairings. Tau with Space Marines is a Stretch but Ultramarines have teamed up with Tau on Numerous occasions.

Except that example is not listed as an Unholy Alliance. It's a Queasy Acquaintance, or whatever.

It does, thanks Mike. I think my hang-up is that no two Imperial Forces should be listed as an "Unholy Alliance". Seems a bit strong. And which chapter hasn't attacked another chapter at some point? If you haven't done that, you're not a real Space Marine army.

I just hope in tournies I will be seeing the same allied lists over and over, not that GW ever has real tournies any more.  I just dont want to see using other codecies as a crutch. Yeah ok I can see some armies working together but I wish there was a penalty in place for using other codecies.

Grey Knights dont "attack" other chapters... we simple kill everyone who's seen too much.

If the Imperial Guard knew the truth of what happens to them after the battle they would NEVER partner with Grey Knights lol
