ide have to be riding on a dragon while having a bolter thats AP 2 and an ap 2 blade that strikes on initiative at strength 6 I have a 2 up armor save and a 4 up invulnerable and cause instant death. My Dragon can make a heavy flamer shot and can do fly by attacks resolved at strength 8 rending. I have 8 attacks on the charge at initiative 7. The only model that can cause instant death to me is Chuck Noris

So in other words, you're an overcosted hq choice?  At least ed is playable in edh.

I will cost only 75 points

And hilariously still die to Jaws and Boon/Gift just as easily as any other model. Portal to Exile, too. And a couple Dark Eldar fancy-pants weapons. I'd just as soon take Lukas the Trickster.

I was enjoying this thread until it got derailed in page 6, up until then it was Logic vs. QQ

and the difference between the example listed in the third post on page 4 and 6th edition is the fact that 6th edition is right there in BG, you cant say that its impossible to find anymore

I cant believe people are QQing so much about spending $75 to continue supporting BG, GW, and Bananas

On a related note: I'm spending ¥11,500 (roughly $150) on a Vocaloid ("fake" music created only with computers) concert blu ray that i could easily download elsewhere, but instead i want to be the good guy who feeds money into cool stuff to show support

Everyone here has most likely spent hundreds on this game, and you should all be able to afford another $70, and we've all had a few months of notice too

the only excuse I can see is anyone who's waiting for the new starter set for the mini rulebook

I separate sentences with paragraphs

tl;dr - buy the book because youll use it a ton and youre a jerk who ill refuse to play with if you pirate it instead of buying it

I agree with the Captain. I dropped quite the number of dollars on the gamers eddition because im "that guy." I dont beleive in illegal dling I never did it nor will I start to. I pay for everything legit. Cept repairs to my expensive forge world model cause they refuse to let me pay for new parts....

the initial point was where or not it was ok to discuss the topic on a game store forum.    I was merely taking the position that when a industry/company rips you off, is it really a big taboo to get their products for free rather than overpay for it.

I personally bought the book the day it came out.

The music industry for years refused to lower prices and as a result there was rampant piracy.   Fair value was offered, then customers came back.  I was never QQing over anything.

Regardless how you feel about GW pricing -- which, incidentally, I do agree with you that they seem overpriced in general -- stealing is stealing and it's bad mojo for the moderators to have forum posters talking about where to download free .pdfs, alternative sites to buy things, etc.

Thankfully, no one did those things.  It was simply a debate about morality and logistics.  No one posted how to pirate anything or other sites to buy stuff from... To my knowledge there was no "QQing" or such, either.
