Abington's Official "Unofficial" Saturday 40k
« on: June 11, 2012, 12:34:58 AM »
So.. after a long hiatus of 40K in Abington a group of regulars in Abington are trying to bring back Saturday 40K. The main goals of the Saturday 40K day are simple:

1) "To bring 40K back to Abington"- To quote Steve D.
2) To bring new players to 40K
3) To bring the Abington 40K community closer together.

If you want to play a game post here or come by the store and hope to see you soon!

Should just be warhammer day, I've a feeling we can pull in both sides if we do this right :)

I agree with Alan, let's make it Warhammer Day.

And Dylan, thanks for getting the ball rolling! I know you'll be busy a lot this summer but I think you'll make an excellent "point man." ;)

Thanks Derek, put also gotta give props to Steve D. for the idea to bring Thursday 40K to Abington! Also I will be making a thread for warhammer in the WHFB topic section, and as a message to all Abington 40K players- Brush that dust off your armys, break out your templates, and go looking for a tape measure, because 40K is coming back to Abington!!!  :D

Lol, I will try my best I just need someone (goss mabey) to "hold down the fort" while I'm gone but I'm super pumped for this. I play both games (40K and WHFB) to create a day for both of them to be played will just be amazing.

Like Ben said, consistency is key.

Listen to that dude.  He knows his stuff.

Hey Dylan,
Make sure your ready for the Saturday of 6th ed release, we'll have to have some fun with the new rules; a day of trying to figure out what the hell they've done will be entertaining for sure.

@Derek, be good if we can make sure we have four of those tables playable (prebuilt like the good old days would be huge!)

Cheers,
Alan

Ok so next saturday (the release of 6th edition) is going to going to be the "unoffical" offical first day of abington saturday 40K. What will happen is we will try to play as many games of 40K (both 5th and 6th edition) hopefully I can make it, but even if I can't have a great time and enjoy 6th edition  ;D!

Can I ask people to do a favor, if you get talking to someone about 40K in Abington and you are on the forums and the person you are talking to are not, convince them to join the forums and post in this thread! thanks!
