may be some time my schedual is now all fed up because of work. I dunno dude there was no terrain at Abington yesterday I think you just cater to the players that pay the most for 40k :p ;)

Yesterday, there was a giant tub filled with terrain underneath the table closest to the front door and there were three great modular GW tables underneath the middle table inside their black storage bags. They have been in Abington all week, right where I left them on Monday.

Impossible. All the terrain in the store was locatable with a DC12 Perception check. It required slightly more than lifting up the black cloth for 2 seconds. The blue bin under the front table by the door is four feet long and almost half as wide.

If you had actually "taken 20" you would have located the terrain and enjoyed a delicious game of Warhammer 40,000.

As it stands, the next time I need to go on an adventure of any type, I won't be inviting you or Nick along. It seems self evident that you have put way too many ranks into less useful skill choices, instead of the important ones like Perception and Craft: Terrain.

Terrain is often light in Abington during the weeks of a large 40K or Fantasy tournament in Plainville.

Fixed.  ;) :) :( :'(

More seriously, I would love to see at least one of the city tables stay in Abington. I probably should stay on top of evens run at both stores so I can at least say something in vain, but a very large Necromunda league is now frozen, waiting for a city table to come back to Abington.

I would agree with your fixed quote if we weren't in the habit of leaving certain things to the last possible minute.  :)  I would love having all the terrain for an event at the store days ahead of time.  It would keep the 2-3am night before the event much more manageable.

In every case I can remember, Derek shows up with the tables and terrain from Abington at ~9:00pm on Friday night, before the event.  After the event on Saturday we pack his truck back up and the stuff is usually dropped off in Abington that Monday afternoon.

Anyways, I was surprised to see the new, nice city table left behind in Plainville.  It's the first week it's ever been in the store.  People love that thing.

I really hope they enjoy it for the few weeks its anchored there for your events. Its a shame their enjoyment is coming at the cost it is for 10 Abington regulars.

So what you're saying is that an entire league and ten players is 100% helpless and roadblocked by not having a table with roads built in to play on?

No. All the city buildings that go with those tables were essential for game play. I've already spent a few months in between studying for my physics and math degrees and volunteered to make sure there was more terrain (I have a full box of finished work in the back room including resin kits I donated) but all of it was based around use with the large quantity of ruins that had already been made.

So, definitely not helpless. I made more terrain in a month than many others have for the store in the last 6. A roadblock is that I don't have the time (or, without compensation, the inclination) to build full tables when 2 city tables already exist.

The big roadblock is the lack of buildings. Maybe there's a box of the great city ruins from the other table hiding in Abington somewhere. As of Thursday, no one had discovered it.

EDIT: It must seem I cry wolf a lot to deserve the level of snark associated with some of your comments recently. I'm a customer and an active member of the community. I'd appreciate it if you approached me like that instead of someone you're calling out at a kegger.

You and Derrek need to end the Rumor that Plainville gets "all the good terrain." LOL. I heard it is because Dark Star is down that way and the game is more popular. Abington in my opinion has a tough time with the game due to lack of quality terrain. Dont get me wrong I understand that a bunch of idiots will more than likely beat it up so I understand... some what. :p

Steve, who told you that Darkstar had anything to do with terrain?  You said you heard it, so someone must have told you...

I am not sure what sort of reputation we as a club have in abington, but at least one of our members, Rick, plays in abington a lot.  Plainville is simply a more convient drive for us, besides  that, most tournaments are at Plainville, so we go to that store.  I used to drive up to abington (before the plainville store existed) for fantasy tournaments.  I would have gone to the WM/H doubles event, it was just a terrible weekend for me.  We have no favortism to either store, we just generally go to the one that is more convient for us(individually) and go to events whichever store they are held at.

I am not going to name names and throw people under the Bus about who said what. It was said to me that the plainville store is favored because of the pressence of Darkstar, a 40k regular crowd.

Derrek we did look in that said Bin and all I could find were Hills and one Bunker every other table had what looked like a Warhammer Leuge stuff under it and I managed to find a few imperial walls. Other tables had terrain construction material or snacks and drinks which do not make good terrain.

I kinda agree with Ian as I feel I am being castrated because I have been going to you guys for years and because I have one comment which I was told to post I get attacked. No when I was there Thursday night there was no 40k appropriate terrain. People were there and also there were wittnesses. I really dont want a big deal to come of this but your comments make me feel like im an idiot which is not cool.  :'(

I sincerely apologize for any negative experience the lack of terrain in Abington this week has caused with your recent visit. I will be more conscientious in the future as to the speed and content of the terrain that travels to and from the Plainville location.

I can personally assure you that any rumors you have heard about favoritism for particular customers, clubs or communities are false and utterly without merit. The lack of terrain that you might experience on any given moment at either location is only because of a current necessity that stems from a desire to have the highest possible quality of terrain on our tables for our very successful 40k tournament scene.

This latest round of "Abington has no good terrain" is an isolated incident that I will rectify as soon as my schedule allows (a day or two). You can look forward to more city table terrain early next week.

Thank you for your appology Derrek. I was just trying to point out something and I felt like I was called an idiot. Sorry for any trouble this may have caused.
