[Battleground] Megabattle 2012 - August 18th

It;s definitely going to be 5th edition.  I just have no interest in having an off-site event on the day a new edition goes on sale.

That shit's bad for business, yo. 

So yeah...  About 6th edition....?  Thoughts...?  Anyone...?  Bueller...?

I just went back and read that part of that thread.  I said that because at the time I was expecting 6th edition to release on August 4th (one of the two dates we were considering at the time).


Since we're getting it 1.5+ months before the Megabattle, if at all possible, we're going to run it in 6th edition.


It's just me flip-flopping as usual, that's all.

Haha, no worries, Chase.  A lot has happened since December.  Looking very forward to see what 6th ed has to bring us.

one thing to start considering now is how willing are we to drop or adjust some of the things are are used to for the mega battle due to changed rules in 6E. some things like assets and by extention many data sheets may end up being less than 100% compatible, remember the apoc books came out two editions ago many of there assumptions about how the game functions have already changed, and if some of the current rumors are true will change even more heavily in about a week.

I think it should be Imperium vs The Rest of the Universe

Distorder player here.   The chaos room is completely dead (other than 2 posts I made a couple weeks ago).  Not time to get worried yet right?

Well.. I do hope I can make it, and if I can I don't care what side I play for (famous last words). I'm really looking foward to playing eldar next year (and hopefully with a revrent titan  ). But for this year if Chaos is really looking like it's going to suck... I can just bring 10 doomsday devices and play for chaos

So what is the count currently for Order V. Destruction, and what happens if it is very uneven?

At this particular moment, confirmed sign-ups split as follows:

Order: 12
Disorder: 5

I know of many other players who are essentially a positive, but they haven't signed up yet (Paul G., Nick H., Steve D., Josh T., etc.) and a bunch more who are very likely "alumni" that also haven't signed up. I would like to see the numbers get to at least 40 to make it be the event we have historically come to expect.

People could assist in this regard by encouraging friends to participate. It's just a better experience and success when more people participate. Plus, I like to break old records.

Disorder could definitely use some assistance at this particular moment, so if you're on the fence about which side to be on, I encourage you to fall in that direction.

Also, I have a sweet video advertisement for the event that is almost complete. It features a lot of the footage from last year.
