Man, a TON of our regular guys can't make it this time. :(

I can vouch for Loranus.  He's a good dude.

As long as he isn't wearing his hat you mean, right?  I'd only vouch for him while hatless!

Bah the Hat be the way to be. I think I am going to miss this one the placement and the situation at home for me just isn't going to let me devote the time and energy to it. I'm just going to work on getting a Better Painted Army than Chris for the next Tourney :3.
I ride in on my Bike with my Hat of awesome and say Nay this place should be on fire.

So I'll have to bring an unprimed army to the next one is what you're saying?  ;D

A recent post elsewhere on the forum has made me want to cover my bases and ask this question.

I'm planning on bringing a "counts-as" Sisters army to the team tournament.  None of the models are actually Sisters of Battle models, the Rhinos are not really Rhinos, the Exorcist isn't really an Excorcist, etc etc.  I've made sure that everything is "wyzywig" in that the models are analogous to their corresponding Sisters models in ways that would be really obvious once I explained what was what, and the vehicles are on bases that approximate the part of a Rhino chassis that touches the ground.

Just want to cover my bases and make sure this is OK...

Do the models in anyway represent the intended models other then weapons?  Is the army painted?  Does the army make a very good effort to keep the flavor of a sister army?  Do the exorcists look like exorcists in anyway?  Do the "not" rhinos other then the base have the same profile as a rhino?

If no to any of these comments please see below....

In a tournament I wouldnt want to play you with that army..  However thankfully for you that is not my call.  I am sure Chase and Sam can better answer this.

As long as everything is the right size, and modeled to have the correct weapons it is probably fine.  might want to check with Sam though.  not sure if you could get down to the store before the event.

You can always post pictures for them to have a look at.

And if you need, I can bring sister stand-ins in case anyone has a problem with what you're using. They wouldn't be painted, but you could use them for LoS determinations and the like.

Based on the other armies of yours I've seen, Matt, I have a feeling you'll be fine.

If you could post a picture or email me one that would be cool.

It's gonna be painted (it's already basecoated).  It's sort of analagous to Sisters, except it's "evil ghost daemonic sisters"...  the vehicles (black coach anda cut-down Mortis Engine from the vampire counts range, etc) are longer and taller in some respects than rhinos and exorcists, but I'm fine with playing it that if the model gives me a disadvantage, I get the disadvantage, and if it would somehow give me an advantage, I'll play as if it were a standard model.

The seraphim and my Celestine are probably on higher flying bases than standard seraphim and standard Celestine, so I think that can only hurt me, and I'm fine playing with that additional pain.

I'm not using actual meltaguns to represent meltaguns, but the meltagun-toting models will be very obvious and carrying guns that look quite "heated".

Anyway maybe I'll just bring in the army to show chase/ben before the tourney to get the ok
