Citadel's new paint bundle
« on: March 24, 2012, 11:06:10 AM »
Really really tempted to pick it up.  Most of my paints are several years old and still working good but just as many are dried up and unusable.  I'm at the point where I need just a little nudge to convince me why it's a good idea to pick the bundle up (stupid $500 price tag!), so anyone have a good reason I should get it?

$500 price tag is stopping me too :-\, well if it helps you get a "free" $100 GW case with it

The new range seems pretty neat. I am particularly interested in the textured paint, that would make basing convenient. I really like the look of the new wash paints too, now "shade" paints I guess. I don't know if I would ever really need 516 (?) paints though, wanting is another matter.

EDIT: 145 not 516...  :-[

The new range seems cool. I'll be in Plainville scoping it out.

I also found this on Dakka Dakka in case anyone is interested. Its a chart that shows the new paints in relation to old colors.

Seems like a pretty great purchase to make use of the 10% discount from receipts on.

You get the 100$ Army Figure Carrying Case for free. The Paints cost 3.70$ a pot seperately doing the math to get all 145 it comes out to 536.50 so you are getting about 636.50$ worth of product for 536$. If your not going to use every single paint which I doubt some people will your going to have it just sit there.

It seems like there's a fair bit of interest in the paint set.  I'll talk to Derek today and see if we can work out a deal for you guys.

Anyone think the new Book With DVD is going to be worth the 50$ they are charging for it?

It depends, if the dvd just has step by step guides on how to paint space marines and such, then no. But it it has how to videos on how to work with the new paints... mabey. I may get it to find out.

It's because GW knew that some of us were being persecuted.
