Chase -

Any idea if/when you'll be running more qualifying events?

Looking like October 6th, with a chance of being Oct 13th.

Sounds good.  FYI, Battle for Salvation GT in Nyack is Oct 5th-7th, not sure if people were planning on going to that.

That's usually a really good event. I'd expect people to go. People should say something if they are planning to go there.

I'm aware of BfS and coming off of the Minivitational I am more inclined to run against it on the 6th.

I need to get my shit together.  So much to do...

Yes.

If half (say like 4) of the GT circuit regulars end up going to NY for BfS than the field is that much weaker.  Coming off of the Minvitational I am okay with that.

I may still do the 13th though.

Any inkling of what the format / point level will be for the invitational?   I am kind of messing around with a few different allied contingents and stuff right now, but I want to make sure that my army for the Invitational is both acceptably pretty and fine-tuned and deadly so maybe it's time to pick a direction.

It'll be 1850 or 2000 point singles.

At this point, it's definitely a fair question. The Invitational would be just 2+ months away, and it is high stakes. Time to buckle up and buckle down!

Jeremiah Nesser qualifies for the Invitational through Best General. (Bill and Alex are already invited.)

Brian Prue qualifies for the Invitational by winning Player's Choice.

I've had a number of people, especially those who have moved in the past year, request a date later in December, more toward the holiday season. I think the weekend of the 29th would be a great choice.

I would definitely vote for earlier in December (like around the 10th).  There's a good chance that I will be out of town, visiting family on the 29th, and it would be a bummer to have to miss the invitational.

I suspect that I'm not alone & that the week between Christmas and New Year's would be higher than average in terms of the number of people who will be travelling...

I like it, Christmas parties (and Christmas) are over by then and therefore should be able to get the bulk of the attendees to be able to make it. Personally myself and probably many others here have various family/friend/work holiday parties on all the Saturdays leading up to Christmas.
