hmmmm, 4000 points of Orks....that means that I only have to paint 1,587,323 sluga boyz more.  Not a problem.

I will likely have more information about the Megabattle before the end of the month.

This information might include:

The number of players we're looking to get
The table layout version 0.1 - notes on what we'd like
Something about the number of points we'd like to see each player bring and if there will be options for "everyone"
A date
A venue

I'd love it if I were able to provide all of that

I heard that we might not be going back to "Hotel Steve D." again this year, but to a VFW or Knights of Columbus hall instead.  Personally, I think that would benefit the whole group more.  Minus the convenience of having a hotel room a few floors up, it'll be more spacious and open up more ideas for table layouts and whatnot.

I'd also like to echo Mike's sentiments on helping wherever we can.  Please feel free to ask!

I am not 100% sure, but probably not.  If we do not it will likely be because the cost of feeding people is too high.

I personally like the food we end up getting, but many people do not.  This + the cost per person per "plate" is prohibitive.

So Derek and I had a very short (but valuable) conversation about the Megabattle today.

Here are the notes:


60 players.

Table Layout - a few of them + a "few small tables" (maybe 4x4).  We (I) am thinking 1x 10v10 table, 3x 5v5 tables, and 5x 1v1 tables.

4000 points per player (default).  Options for players with less than 4000 points.  1v1 tables likely to be "Kill Team" missions (500 points or less).

Date - Almost definitely August 18th

Venue - A VFW or KoC type thing around Abington with the potential of being between AB and PV.

So, this sounds really fun.  I would like to bust out the ole Daemons apocalypse style...  and it will probably be my only chance to play Zarykynel in her true 666pt form.

Only 1 of each named character through the entire Megabattle.  So if you know who you want, prepare to make bids for them once the Team Forums open up again.

Not that we've actually had anything to bid with -- basically we've been able to work out amicably who gets to use which special character.
