Plainville Paint and Grow?
« on: December 04, 2011, 11:03:45 PM »
So, it seems to me (correct me if im wrong) that there is not that big of a Plainville warmahordes crowd at BG. So, for those of you who do frequent the Plainville, would anyone be interested in a beginner league to try to stoke up some interest. It would be like a Paint and Grow league where you start with a small army (like a battle box set or 15 points) and each weak we increase the points level, and there would be points for painting models each weak. I can give some more concrete planning, but i wanted to test the water first and see if there is any actual interest! Any one game?

I'd be interested in the "Paint and Grow" portion, but actually "playing" is tough.  :)

I have loads of Cygnar to paint, or perhaps I'll paint me so trolls...

Paint and grow is an awesome idea. I've always liked the slow grow. The problem always seems to be that people fall out of love with it rather quickly. Also, the 'paint' part seems to fall along the wayside. I always like the idea and I'm always down.

If it's a committed group, it's awesome!

I would be down for a paint and grow since I'm going to be repainting a large (if not all) of my Cygnar anyway.

I'm about half painted out of my oodles of points so I would join this if it were started soon.

Due to my varying work schedule I'm much more inclined to doing a paint and grow.

I still have a giant lot of 40k to paint but mixing it up with some Khador will keep things fresh.

I'd be game to start a warmachine/horde army. No clue what I would play though; what is the current meta game overview at Plainville? What armies are most prevelant or least played?

Play what you want there really Isn't a meta.

There are more than a few people who also just pick up bits and pieces of various armies and mess around too.

Most people that I've wound up playing against have 2 or 3 that they can field, from Warmachine and Hordes.

So really, yeah, play whatever strikes your fancy, don't worry about what other people have.
Reality is a cruel and unintuitive place with rather frustrating game-play mechanics.

Typically the way it works is that you are free to play games all weak and it is up to you to arrange them and get them in. Can i have everyone who is interested in this please PM me? that will make it A LOT easier to keep track of who is open to this, and what your status is right now. If i can get like 6 or so people, ill go bug chase about maybe making this happen!
