Army list is done, just need to actually write it up in a sane fashion.  Currently have everything painted with two colors... except for the big one.

Looking forward to playing on Saturday!  Should be a fun time!
Reality is a cruel and unintuitive place with rather frustrating game-play mechanics.

I have just finished emailing reminders out to the people who I still need lists from.  If you are registered, have not sent me an army list, and have not received a reminder email there is some sort of problem and you should get in touch with me ASAP.

Bad news: my ride just disappeared, good news, im a canuck on a mission. I have been looking forward to this for too long to miss. After lengthy contemplation, i have decided that there is only 1 solution. Bike. Thats right ladies and gentlemen, at approximately 7 on saturday morning, i am going to set off on a 1 hour and 21 minute odyssey through uncharted lands in COLD BUTT weather. Wish me luck gentlemen, wish me luck.

The tournament is upon us tomorrow, woo!

To make the process faster, please have an idea of victory point half-values for your squads.

My only other reminder is to bring lots of cash money, as new Necrons are in the BG house!

Let me correct this for you

My only other reminder is to bring no cash money, necrons are in the house only for those who already have played the army in third edition

And I'll correct yours.

I played Nightbringer. You probably haven't heard of him.

I hope everyone had a good time today!

A tournament of my own design and I finish 3rd... 3rd to last. Ew.

After the second match, then dead last, I looked around and saw everyone chatting about the armies they saw and the tactics and scenarios, that was a good moment. I played against 5 opponents, each game with a memorable moment in good company. Standings aside, I got everything else I wanted from the day and I thank everyone who came out to try our crazy idea.

If there is interest in doing something like this again (probably in the far future), I hope we can outdo ourselves. If you have any feedback, good, bad or indifferent, I'm definitely interested to hear it all.

I myself had some confusion about the brackets and maybe it will get cleared up when the Results are posted. With the 2 People dropping out it seemed like 2 people with 0 wins got moved up from the 4th bracket to the 3rd and maybe It just wasn't clear to me but it seemed like it had been stated the only way to win 2nd or 3rd bracket was to have previously won a match in the placement rounds to make it so you go 4-1. This may just be my confusion but wouldnt that have made it impossible for those people to place in the bracket at all even if they won all 3 matches?

The top two brackets were completely unaffected, so the biggest prizes were handed out to the rightful players.

We never talked about how the brackets would be affected with less than 32 players. My greatest concern was that an 0-2 player being put in the third bracket then ran the risk of becoming an 0-5 player. That wasn't part of the deal. As it was, it all worked out in that regard and luckily everyone in that bracket won a match.

When the results are posted, I'll take a closer look at them. It depends on how the results were tabulated whether Pat's scenario could have happened. It was my intention for the brackets to be a fresh start, but I'm pretty sure that didn't happen. In that case, an adapted 30-player field could have skewed the results in that third bracket. Once I study the results chart, I'll be able to assess all that stuff.

Can't argue with the overall day though. The tournament went smoothly by all appearances. One or two scenarios needed to be painfully spelled out, but such is communication to a larger group of people.

I don't think that scenario played out at all I know I was one of those 2 people and my end result for the day was 2 wins 3 losses.  I think it was the best tournament I have ever been too and Nothing is going to change that not crying foul play on anything that was just my piece of feedback that if such a situation would come up in the next tournament how it would be handled.
