They've usually done 100 for minor win, ?? for major and double your opponent's VPs for a massacre.
i mean how many tournament points are awarded for a draw, minor win, major win (if we have it, as in the BRB there is no distinction), and massacre.

Sadly, I have no idea what we've done other than go "by the book."

Unfortunately, I know very, very little about how WHFB is played.

Here is a picture of the results from one of the events earlier in the year.  Maybe this will mean something to you guys.  Are there conditional point modifiers built in to the scenarios right out of the book?
this answers my question somewhat, you can draw a rough conclusion from the chart. it looks like draw- 10-10, minor win- 12-8, major win- 14-6, massacre 17-3. all we have to do is establish the difference between a major and minor win, as the rulebook makes no distinction, and we're all set.

Ha ha. I hope it works for other people to. I don't want to be 1/4 of the turn out.

I think fantasy is geting more popular with the new books . Just got to get all the abington guys to make the trip.

good thing its getting more popular lol, it'd be a shame for all those insane new models to go to waste! one more thing, are there plans to have copies of the latests FAQ's on hand?

I'm going to be playing the new ogres for this tournament. No erata has been released on this yet. So ill just make my.list with this in mind and avoid anything "controversial" However a few things may come up that you will have to make rules calls on if anyone else plays ogres.

Can the slaughter master wear magic armor?
Can items that prevent miscasts be used on the Hell heart?
Can the iron blaster stand and shoot?
Can the greedy fist be used with ranged attacks and spells?

In my opinion. No, yes, no, no.

I had a fun time too and it was great to see that kind of turn out for a Fantasy event. Made me spend money seeing the interest.

My only suggestion would be to revisit the vp spread for victory conditions. There were some games where people massacered but did not meet the conditions for major and games within 500 vp of each other that were major victories because the points gotten were so close on the low end that getting double was very easy.

Agreed.  I had 3 great games.  Thanks for hosting, if you want any help with scenarios in the future, just ask.

Yeah bill has it right. you're looking at 2 weeks or so for shipping but those guys are awesome and the minis are definitely worth it.

Awesome tourney, I had a great time getting smashed  and killing stuff with my general's unit . I would suggest that e use some less random scenarios, but overall, awesome.

i like randomness.  It makes you adapt during the game.  I like playing with terrain that also affects the game.  I like changes and being able to try to get those things to work in your favor vice against you.

What i would like to see though is VP modifiers.  like get a unit in the enemies zone or killing their most exp unit or killing their general.   These things can allow a player who lost one game to gain more points as well to still keep them competitive.

Point denial is part of 8th edition.  so i disagree about your argument against the point spread for allowing major victory vice minor victory.

Finally  WHEN IS THE NEXT TOURNEY>?
