Oh believe me, when i scale up, they are a sure in, but right now my list doesn't really benefit from them that much.

yup, and it comes wit ha nifty positional tracker which allows a suit team deep striking to reroll scatter. Most people (myself included) just have fire warriors jump in and have the path finders scramble into a ruin or something.

re-rolling scatter is sooo reassuring. I put kroot in the pathfinder devilfish, otherwise my 11 kroot don't survive the day.

Both of them are like expensive devilfish, though.

While they are nice for the big blast AV13 and 4+ cover from 12" away. It always seems like people melta/powerfist them to death, in which case you get no cover save anyway.

plus, you can just use Pulse fire or flamer templates to deal with any lightly armored troops coming your way. And if you are concerned about AP 4, Just use missle pods.

skyray box comes with devilfish, hammerhead, and skyray sprues. basically for 5 bucks more than a hammerhead you get a whole extra sprue

Not completely sure why they list it lower than a hammerhead. I bought 2 skyrays maybe 2 months ago and made 2 hammerheads. Eventually I'll make the skyray turrets to swap out.

Unless the change was very recent I suppose you buy the skyray 5 bucks cheaper and stick it to GW lol.
