Finished putting together my bloodthirster last night at BG and put some Flamers on backorder, finally starting to get some semblance of an army!

Alright, just put together a list last night, It looks like this so far:

HQ:
Bloodthirster 250
 - Death Strike 20
 - Unholy Might 20
Herald of Khorne 70
 - Fury of Khorne 10
 - Death Strike 15
 - Iron Hide 15
 - Unholy Might 15
Herald of Tzeentch 50
 - Bolt of Tzeentch 30
 - Breath of Chaos 30
 - Boon of Mutation 30

Elite
3x Flamers of Tzeentch 135
 - Bolt of Tzeentch 30

Troops
10x Bloodletters 160
 - Fury of Khorne 10
 - Instrument of Chaos 5
9x Bloodletters 144
 - Fury of Khorne 10
 - Instrument of Chaos 5
5x Pink Horrors  85
 - Bolt of Tzeentch 10
 - changeling 5
4x Pink Horrors  68
 - Bolt of Tzeentch 10

*EDIT* Had to take one bloodletter and pink horror out since I don't have extra models for the heralds so I'll have to use one of each of the normal troop models.

If I did my math correctly the list comes out to 1221pts. I might be able to squeeze out 1500pts if I add every option available on everything just for the sake of adding points, but i'm not sure if its more worth it to do that or just buy a few more models and make up the point difference with another squad or elite. Likewise, i could also easily cut down on a few hundred points for a 1000pt army by getting rid of an HQ and a model here and there in my troop choices (maybe two groups of 8 bloodletters?). So, what do you think? Comments, advice?

You are certainly on your way. If that is what u have for models you off to a good start I won't flood you with tactical advise. I would say make your investment a new unit instead of stretching it. I would suggest either a heavy (grinder or prince) or another elite fiends or crushers are your friend.

I agree with Bill. You are most certainly on your way. Also, bodies > upgrades.

There aren't too many 1,000 point lists that can effectively deal with a Bloodthirster. :)

1250 is a common number, and you're just a couple upgrades from that. Drop Fury on your Bloodletters and give them Icons, ta da!
