Low Budget type 2 decks?
« on: June 12, 2011, 06:13:22 PM »
I want to play FNM but I dont want to blow a lot of money on a deck that can perform well against the deck designs that usualy beat faces in. I wouldnt mind so much if the deck didnt become useless in a year. Is there a deck design out there that can be built on a budget and be competitive?

The event decks are pretty badass.

Wizards actually puts out an article every week or so called Building on a Budget.  Check it out.  :)

Seriously. The mono-red Event deck is pretty much like 5 cheap cards from a successful deck. I don't really follow standard a whole lot so I don't know what other options there are, but that's what I'd do. Its also super fun to play.

The new event deck is worth WAY WAY more than the price tag.

Yes. It is. However, he wants a deck to play not sell. Goss, DIAF.

Thanks guys ill take a look into the event decks. I like that wizards are making it possible for guys like me to be able to play at lets slightly competitively with out having to drop 80 bucks every rotation.

And it's 200 if you don't play Jace, the Mind Sculptor.  :)

Ian, maybe you forget how to play magic but typically good cards are worth more than bad cards.

Good cards are great, but the issue is they need to be in good decks. The Kuldotha Red event deck is closer to a good deck than any other.

But, hey. What do I know. Clearly, you are a superior player in every game. Why else would you make baseless assertions about games you can't compete in?
