Llael needs help repelling Khador! (Tell me about Highborn Covenant)

I'm heavily considering a merc army, considering all the mercs I already own.  Highborn caught my eye and I was wondering how people find Ashlynn?  I am definitely getting Constance too.

How about the other highborn casters?  At this point, I kinda want to avoid that Fiona chick as Thamar is a punk. How about those merc jacks?  Nomad looks badass so he is on the list if for only that he is so awesome looking. Mules with rune shot seem kind of hilarious too.

Can a horde army use Warmachine mercs?

Any merc that Hordes can use, also have the Minion rule.   IE  Viktor Pendrake and Saxon Orrik.


Ashlynn is excellent.  She has one of the best feats in the game.

Ashlynn is amazing. Quicken is such a great spell and her feat is insane.

Outside of her, Durgen is solid. The only downside is he REALLY likes Kayazy, which for obvious reasons aren't in that contract. I don't care for the rest of the casters, mostly because of highborn restrictions.

The Nomad is the second most points efficient 'jack in the game. I love it. The Mangler and Mule are also very good heavies. I'm from Khador, so I'm not a big light 'jack guy, but the Vanguard is situationally fantastic.

Is Ashlynn the caster with the "roulette" feat?

I saw that in action the other day and said it had to be one of the best in the game.

It absolutely is, especially with her access to gun mages and forgeguard.

I think that second box of gun mages will be making into my foam soon.  I'm really digging the concept of gunslinging resistance fighters.  Ashlynn's tier list sounds like what I'm looking for. Crossing my fingers Abington has some stuff tonight.

Now to balance painting WM stuff and Carcharodons.

Ashlyn's feat really shuts down a turn.  I mean, it does rely on an opponent having typical dice rolls, but let's face it, it sucks to play her.  She's one of those top tier casters who's feat basically means your opponent is skipping a turn.
