Megabattle: Quick Update

So I'm sure most of you know we have not given the details on how each table will work yet.  This is due to the fact that the number of players is a bit different than anticipated and we are gunning for a different "feel" to this year's game.

Because of that, the configuration of tables *MIGHT* be different than previously announced.

As it stands, there will not be 4 tables this year.

There might be one table.
There might be two tables.
There might be three tables.

You guys will have the answer to this before Friday.

We're going to have sick tables, how they are going to be configured is up in the air.

I called the hotel earlier to get the dimensions of the room we're in and all they could tell me was the square footage.  She said she needs to talk to her engineer before emailing / calling me back.

If you are considering going back to one table, remember how slow play gets.  Even last year's big table only got 3 - 4 turns in.  One table now would be a really big game.  I think the feel of last year's game was much happier than prior years, and part of this was considerably less hurry up and wait.

I think the more tables, the merrier. Even if we reduce the number of people at each table to 4v4 or whatever. It gives more people an opportunity a chance to play more, at expense of feeling *slightly* less apocalyptic.

My vote is for "not one big table" I really have no interest in being anywhere near Emperor Titans.
